The fact that people are giving negative reviews on performance within the first 2 hours of Early Access is beyond me.

Yes the game needs some performance optimization, however it is playable and I don't expect 144fps on an UE5 game on launch anyways.

The game is exactly what is says it is, and the development team has been extremely transparent about it

At the time of this review I have about 10.5 hours of playtime.

War Dust is Battlefield 2 in VR.

The graphics are trash, but the gameplay is an absolute blast.

Kills feel rewarding and gunplay feels great. The ability to move around the map quickly using parachutes really adds an ability to flank and setup an area for capture for your team.

YES, the progression takes ages, but if you're worried about progression there are community maps that let you basically AFK XP.

I wasn't worried about progression, I care about the experience.

The community is small, but very helpful. My first few matches I had no idea what I was doing or how to do simple tasks like board a helicopter. My squadmates walked me through it as well as some of the other basics of the gameplay, and I had such an amazing time that I gifted the game to my bestfriend. While playing with him, we were in fits of laughter driving around on a quad and shooting people.

Then my girlfriend saw us playing.

She's a gamer, but not super into FPS games. She's more into MOBAs and Strategy games like rimworld. When she saw us playing she figured she'd give it a shot and join us, so I bought her the game.

After a 3 hour session, we both took off our headsets and she expressed how fun the game was.


Buy the game, it's a wonderful experience.


10/10 would spend my life savings on buying it for all my friends again

Blacksquad is a FREE FPS with an EXTREMELY high skill ceiling.

Don't play this game if you're looking for something that's easy.

HOWEVER,

If you're the type of person that devotes a large amount of time into developing skills, then you'll absolutely have a blast with this game.

Already LIGHTYEARS ahead of EVERY other free fps title because it has a decent anticheat.
