I know that I don't have that many hours but i'm going to tell you about this game in the form of a short poem:

Easy to run,
And the bad guys will too,
Grab some controllers,
And grab your crew. (Friends)
Shoot the enemies without fail,
Grab snacks and ginger ale,
I recommend this game highly but
WAIT FOR A SALE.

And GOSHDARNIT I LOVE CACTUS

Me/You: Mom, can we get Forza Horizon 4?

Mom: No, we have Forza Horizon 4 at Home.

Forza Horizon 4 at home:

That basically sums this game up. Everything about The Crew 2 is worse than Forza Horizon 4, or even Horizon 3 for that matter. The Driving feels like trash. The game looks and runs worse than Forza Horizon, with constant frame spikes and frametime issues that are absolutely unpresent on FH4. Even without these technical issues, there is little to be had with the actual game that isn't done better in FH4. The soundtrack is terrible, the map is empty and lifeless, the story is non-existent (To be fair the story in FH4 is pretty trash too), and the content is mediocre. Forza Horizon 4's weekly playlists keep people coming back to play, and I hate to say it but there is absolutely nothing that makes me want to keep playing this game. In fact, it honestly made me want to play FH4 some more because of its mediocrity and it made me feel like I wasn't appreciating FH4 enough. One big positive thing I hear is the cruising aspect of the game. However, because of the fact that the handling feels like trying to balance a melting ice cube on a ruler while standing on a half pipe, and you're doing this while in the middle of nowhere, it's very boring and not very fun. Trying to cruise in this game is like telling a starved Cocaine addict to sit down and watch the entirety of Empire. It'll only piss you off since he doesn't want to sit and watch this boring ass film. He wants Coke (Or in this case, to go fast), because Coke is more "Fun" (Don't do drugs kids). If you want to cruise the USA, I recommend picking up American Truck Simulator.

TL:DR I really wanted to love this game, I really did. But I can't recommend it to anyone looking for a fun racing experience to play. I know I compared it a lot to Forza Horizon 4, but there is a reason for that. It's because The Crew 2 is a Walmart version of Forza Horizon 4.

Please buy that game instead. Trust me.

I strongly recommend playing this game with shaders, sol, content manager, and a whole buncha mods.

Here's a tip though: If you're looking to get into this game and you plan on using a controller, don't even try.
