In comparison with previous games of series, this part has a lot of enhancements in part of mini-interactions in game. Walking and interacting with NPCs in cities now feeling more alive and interesting. And also campaign map becomes very attractive since you can infinitely fight everyone, and it is not a big deal to hire a new army, while in m&b:warband it was not so easy. Or you can perform a lot of different tasks from NPCs and almost not fight at all.
Separately want to admit really great animations and models of characters in battles.
Noticeable for me changes:
Shields - works even if it is on your back, and works very precisely.
Horses - new types of movement, and very rarely stack in something, almost never.
Sieges - completely new approach to siege cities. Siege machines are now arranged in campaign map via mini-game with enemy defenders.
Have a lot of different game modes, all of them were in "m&b:warband" but now in addition it is with an enjoyable match finder. This game modes seem balanced itself, but matchmaking works not very well since beginner can be VS experienced players. I think it is not very fair and enjoyable.
There a lot of interesting new features in game that I don't mention, recommend this game a lot
