This game has insane potential, and it's already really good.

Highly recommend you get in early, because this project is going to be amazing

Early Access Review
This game has incredible potential, I am already thoroughly enjoying the singleplayer gameplay and the devs mentioned they will be adding campaign based missions, which I can't wait for. Overall the game definitely needs some polish, but the recent updates have already taken it very very far. Can't wait to see where the devs take it next.

Incredibly underrated rhythm game.

I haven't tried the VR mode (yet) but this game on mouse & keyboard is already a blast if you enjoy games like ADOFAI, osu!, Beat Saber you name it. Definitely a must have for any rhythm enjoyer. Mad props to the devs for keeping this love child updated and full of surprises.

Early Access Review
[TL;DR]: Incredible addition to the tactical shooter genre, very satisfying gameplay and realism. Definitely worth a buy if you are into realistic tactical shooters. Overall a very exciting & welcome experience.

Let me start this off by saying this review may be biased because I have been waiting for a modern tactical shooter that can uphold SWAT 4's legacy for a good while now.

Now let me get into this review.

[Graphics & performance]: 9/10
Overall I feel like this game is graphically very pleasing, everything from the way lighting works to the incredible & realistic animations. Flashlights are definitely blinding, muzzle flashes light up a room as you'd expect, etc etc. The game runs at a constant 90+ FPS on a 1070Ti & 1600x at 1080p.

[Map design/replayability]: 9/10
The map design in this game is very in depth, you never feel like you are done clearing rooms and corridors until you eventually complete your mission. Every time you load up a mission, it's completely changed due to the randomized locations of AI hostiles and hostages. Certain doors may be closed on one run, and then open on another. There's no memorizing locations, everything is random each time. Some rooms feel less detailed as others, but I feel that this is not very impactful. At the moment of me writing this review there are enough maps to keep me playing. I cannot wait to see what kind of experiences are to come upon full release.

[Single player gameplay]: 10/10
The gameplay in RoN at this moment is very very solid already, even though it's still in Alpha/Beta phase. All gadgets feel very realistic and impactful as you'd expect, this very much thanks to the incredible animation work. AI teammates can be janky at times, but they almost always react to your callouts accordingly (atleast in my experience). Your AI teammates make the correct choices based on armed suspects, they shoot only when necessary and stack every door correctly, even in tight corridors. Room clearing is well thought out, with AI spreading through the room or hallway in a logical manner, all covering different points. Although I feel like it's hard to be the front man in engagements because in most room clearing instances they rush in first with you running in behind, though you can choose to be first by running in front of them. Enemy AI is randomized to be compliant to your callouts, or shoot you on site. Less lethal options help tremendously with bringing in armed suspects, since after a couple pepper balls or a bean bag to the face can be a deal breaker for them. Running suspects react accordingly to pepper balls, tasers, beanbags, etc. stopping and surrendering(most of the time, ofcourse not always). Weapons work exactly how you think they would, 1 or 2 well placed shots will take down a target, but the same goes for yourself. Ofcourse you can combat this by equipping heavy armor and a ballistic mask, but getting hit is definitely no fun. At this moment there are already a lot of weapons to use, all with their own attachments to pair. Overall the gameplay is extremely solid and polished feeling.

[Multiplayer gameplay]: ?/10
At the time of me reviewing this game, I have not checked out the multiplayer features. For an accurate representation of how it works I suggest looking at content made by the likes of OperatorDrewski on YouTube, etc.

[Overall thoughts & final verdict]: 9.5/10
First off, if you are considering buying this game in early access, I would absolutely say go for it if you enjoy games like Squad, Hell Let Loose, Rising Storm, SWAT 4, etc. now, as I said, I am very excited to see what's to come for this absolute masterpiece of a game. If it can already be this good and polished upon early access release, I have very high hopes for the future. Only good things to come.

Please give me a thumbs up if this review was helpful for you!
