I'm 1 boss, 47 cutscenes and a lot of confusion into my first playthrough. What an insult to soulslike.

Art. I hate 2d games, i hate most souslikes; this is both and it's effing wonderful.

I played this as my first resident evil game and i'm nooooooot disappointed atall. I thought it was gonna be cringey jumpscares but it's not it's amazing, suspense is built well and i actually found myself saying "oh ♥♥♥♥" a lot more than "oh okay". Inventory management is done well, unfortunately i thought one or two of the puzzles were a bit more confusing than was neccecary and i didn't feel bad about googling when i was super stuck.

So i didn't really get into this game when i first played it. I only have 40 hours because i left it on overnight, but i decided to redownload it again and try to finish it so it wasn't a complete waste of money boy was i wrong.

I've never been a fan of other game lauchers forcing themselves to be downloaded to be able to plug their own games but Ubisoft is a whole new level, first i couldn't log in, then i did log in but ubisoft couldn't connect to it's own servers, then after a while of searching the FAQ's i got onto the launcher by using it in admin mode and unchecking "start in offline mode" which is somehow the default, then it failed to authenticate me having my own game, then ubisofts live chat wasn't up so i cant seek any more help to tell them that yes, i infact do own the game thats clearly in my steam library.

No wonder people hate ubisoft these days honestly, these 3rd party launchers are only forcing it so they can advertise their own games and cut out steam as the middle man. I'll be avoiding all games published by ubisoft in future. Oh and they ruined warcraft.

Controls are operational but get stuck a lot and don't work, makes it unplayable.

How isn't this the biggest game in the world right now, pure gold.

Awful, i'd rather play lords of the fallen.
Exploration is literally discouraged, because everything you pick up is a different colour poncho or a different kind of metal for your lightsaber, companion or ship. Shortcuts don't matter because theres bonfires everywhere.
Combat, enemies don't get staggered so theres no point in the 3 hit combo, you can only do 2 hits before you get slapped with an instant attack and it feels like dodging hardly does anything. Half of the more challenging enemies i occur aren't challenging because they change up the combat and reaction time, they're just jankily made and have poor reads. In souls i think "fk i deserved that one" in this game i think "oh, erm, okay"
I've been playing on the hardest difficulty for at least half of the game, got sick of the same ♥♥♥♥ over and over and went to the one above story mode only to occur the same problems just with less damage. It's not frustrating or challenging its boring.

Voice acting and graphics are great.

Running ultra setting on a decked out 1060 system at 50-70 fps, occured two very minor bugs 3 hrs in. Games awesome, get it.
