The policemen find the body of the gangster Andrzej G. ps. "Guillotine". Jerzy Kiler observes the confusion around the crime scene. The next morning, he is awakened by police gunshots, and he is dragged out of the apartment by police counter-terrorists. During the interrogation, he learns that a gun (a sniper rifle) was found in his taxi, and that he himself was considered a paid killer with the nickname "Kiler". Unable to clear himself of the charges, Jurek is sent to prison. As a killer, he is respected among his fellow prisoners, so he tries not to show that he is not the real killer. It accidentally contributes to the death of one of the prisoners, "Uszat", who persecutes other prisoners. The more Killer's authority grows, which confirms everyone's belief that he is the real killer. During transport to the mysterious place of isolation, people of one of "his" principals, Stefan "Siara" Siarzewski, hit him back. The hero has no choice but to still pretend to be a paid murderer. In a short time he receives several murder orders, and one of his victims is to be Ewa Szańska, a journalist whom he met in prison. Jurek Kiler has no intention of killing her, he meets her and tells her that he is not the murderer. "Siara" does not insist on ordering the murder of Ewa, but he is very keen on killing Ferdinand Lipski and taking away half a banknote (2,000 Colombian pesos), which is a bargaining chip in a transaction with a huge amount of cash from Mr. Waldek on cargo in Okęcie. Jerzy Kiler goes to Ferdinand Lipski, but this makes matters even worse, because he orders him to kill "Siara". Jerzy has to convince "Siara" that he killed Ferdinand Lipski, and Ferdinand Lipski that he killed "Siara".

Together with Ewa and "Kudłaty", a former fellow prisoner, Kiler records a short film material that resembles a report from a news service. Jerzy secretly puts the cassette in the VCR and plays the recording to "Siara" under the guise of a real crime scene report. "Siara" easily believes in the murder of Ferdinand Lipski and demands a half of the banknote that Ferdinand has. Kiler tells "Siara" that he will have this half tomorrow. The next day he puts "Siara" to sleep, and Ewa's friend Stanisław characterizes Stefan in such a way that he looks like after a shot in the head. Jurek Kiler brings the "body" to Ferdynand Lipski, who hands him a half of the banknote. He drives "Siara" back, and when he wakes up, shows him the half of the banknote. Both "Siara" and Ferdynand Lipski commission Jerzy Kiler to collect money for cargo at Okęcie. The last minutes of the action take place there. "Siara" meets Ferdinand Lipski, and then they get into a fight, and they are both arrested by Commissioner Ryba. When Jerzy Kiler and Ewa go to get money, they are stopped by the real hired murderer Kiler. However, he is arrested very quickly. Jerzy Kiler and Ewa collect the money and do not know what to do with it. At the end, there is information that Jerzy Kiler donated money for Polish cinema, which he regretted later.
