A love letter to your favourite 2D platformer from your childhood - Rayman, Donkey Kong Country, Sonic etc.

On the surface the concept of fighting through fruit and vegetables as a rabbit seems generic and doesn't pop out on first appearance, but it's creatively done enough that it grows on you and the tight controls and platforming gameplay makes up for it. The spritework is done well but the set pieces do feel a little repetitive at times, but the concept of the mask power ups does spice the levels up. It does get quite challenging especially if you like to 100% collect everything, it's no easy cruise if you give yourself a challenge. The flying sections were not a personal favourite as the tight controls you're used to are subverted by a button mashing style of flying mechanic and an attack that arcs, this makes it more challenging but not in the way you'd want.

Not perfect or lives up to the hype, but not as bad as made out to be. Can be considered on the same level as any other standard open world game.

A interesting and satisfying metroidvania that is very castlevania symphony of the night inspired. Not particularly lengthy if you are a completionist, and especially not long if you only want to beat the game or get the "true ending", but satisfying if you enjoy metroidvania type games.

The plot revolves much around time travel between the past and present of a dystopian world as you uncover the truth with a number of twists that aren't very shocking but does take an interesting morally grey stance on the issues the MC and side characters face. Most of the notable characters are humanoids that don't really feel that interesting besides a few quirks of their sexuality and gender identity, indeed, there is even a jarring awkward moment of character development where each friendly character you met divulges their preferred labels around a campfire, including the main character. There are moments where characters express doubts about the situation and who is really in the right or wrong, but that quickly resolved by a little investigation by the player.
The more complex characters are left to the notes and records you find scattered, or are swiftly cut down by the protagonist who seems eager than most to kill to win despite learning more and more of the previously mentioned morally grey situation.
There's also a lot of undeveloped non-humanoid entities that just sort of exist, either of the demon variety that comes from a malevolent force working behind the scenes but doesn't really expand on this influence, or the ethereal and godly that controls the time and space of existence which is only explored at the very end of the game,

Gameplay is pretty solid with a difficulty curve that mostly favours the player, I only died once early on in the game when I was still understanding all the mechanics, this was on normal difficulty, which I imagine the hardest difficulty is more of the real challenge for veteran gamers, infact by the end of the game the final bosses felt the most easiest. It's not particularly hard given the abundance of consumables that you don't need for the most part except for boss fights where you can tank most of the damage and focus on doing as much damage as possible. While there is a variety of different attacks you pickup in the form of elemental orbs that change how you double attack functions and items for magic attacks, I stuck with the fire orb and upgraded that when I could, it turns out despite the different elemental types and resistances of enemies it really didn't stop me from using the same fire type orb with the special magic attack that did a ton of burst damage. There's only one boss that is resistant to fire which forced me to change, but otherwise most enemies are not resistant to it and the ones that are die quickly anyway, the wiki for this game lists most enemies as having no resistance to fire. Free pro tip for you there. But there are some interesting attacks you could choose otherwise to focus on its entirely on your playstyle. While exploring the map felt fine with a number of points you can fast travel to, I did find the abundance of secret rooms annoying and dated, which could only be found early on by hitting walls until they shake, indicating a secret passage. This is helped later on by obtaining an item that shows where these entrances are when you are near, but by that point I made a habit of hitting any flat walled surface that looks like it could be a secret.

Metroidvania's seem hard to come by these days so pick it up if you need that fix.

Most of the puzzles are great some are frustrating, mainly the secret rooms cause issues and one or two puzzles required a restart for the cubes to work properly but otherwise weird asf game would recommend 10/10

Short and hard game but reflected by the price. Nice message at the end hope your next project goes well.

This game is great but a rather short and linear one and that might be hard to justify the full price tag, it's almost like a interactive movie experience but leans on the video game side a bit more. The controls does make it obvious it's an Unreal engine game if you know what I mean, but it's acceptable given the pretty straight-forward puzzles, it's charm is not its challenge but the story telling, world and atmosphere building. It goes from tense moments requiring you to act fast, to some sympathetic moments for the characters that occupied the colony before disaster struck for both the moon this game takes place on and the entire remnants of earth, uncovering the mystery of what went wrong. Albeit, don't go looking for any significant challenge in this game it's narrative experience should be digested completely.

Nevertheless, the developers made an atmospheric near future sci-fi game that hits the same notes as movies like Interstellar and the Martian, they don't go too crazy with otherworldly technology or events, but it offers an interestingly believable future that if longer could have delved into further details and sub-plots of this future for humanity.

The music score is gentle when it needs to be and ramps up during tense sequences when a disaster strikes, it fits a deserted moon colony giving you a sense of pure loneliness including sequences such as traversing the landscape of the moon with nothing but the silence of space and the humming of the rover you move in.

Again it's short, but if on sale I'd recommend picking up just for an interesting story.

Abandoned many moons ago

Update: Dev returned after abandoning his buggy early access game for 8 years promising updates. I don't recommend supporting his projects.

Update update: He has once again abandoned this game, this time officially saying it's "done" after a number of updates (spoiler: it isn't).
The kicker is that despite being "burned out" from developing the new patches as he put it, he announced ANOTHER new game project immediately after. You can't make it up, don't support this lazy scam artist.
