When you're able to actually play this game, it's fantastic. But I just can't understand why Asobo thought they had to reinvent the launcher. After you download this game on steam, you'll just start another launcher that *attempts* to download the rest of the game. Most of my "playtime" is staring at the launcher.

When I first bought it, everything went well. By now after a few updates I can't get the download to finish no matter what I do. Reinstalls don't help. I give up.

This mod can't be called a mod in good conscience. This is a game that takes the engine and assets of Skyrim and builds a whole new world with a fully voiced story around it. Easily more than 50 hours of gameplay and one of the best stories currently available in RPGs.

Pros:
- Huge variety of skills and skill combinations
- trading system makes getting the items for your build easy and not dependent on luck unlike diablo 3
- Economy Simulator 2019™
- Complex systems that you don't need to understand immediately if you just follow a build guide (recommended for the first few characters)

Cons:
- Buying additional stash tabs basically mandatory at this point. Better treat this game as a normal full price game
- Half of the game is played outside of the game (Path of Building, poe.trade, poemap.live)
- You need to know what build you want to play before starting a new character

TL;DR: Customization fantastic, graphics horrendous.

This game was my first multiplayer game around 10 years ago so I am horribly biased, but I'll try to be as neutral as possible.
In short, this game can be described as the grandfather of wows.
You have a ship, you equip it with the guns you want, you fight. then your crew levels up, you get access to more guns and more ships. All of this happens in isometric view instead of first/third person view like in wows.
Since the game launched in 2006, the graphics are bad and it doesnt support real 16:9.
If you manage to look past that, either by equipping your nostalgia glasses or by just being blind, you get access to a fantastic team sea battle experience. The battles are really fun and customizing your ship and leveling up is simply great.

If you are new to this game, I'd recommend looking a bit through the website to get to know the intricacies of the game. It can be a bit complicated and doesn't explain the things you need to know to not f*** up your crew.

Fantastic game! I play it since the early days from time to time and saw it being an intriguing construction site with great ideas, a laggy b*tch with cool new things, and now finally a polished product.
If you're coming from terraria like me with my 400+ hours, you'll notice that you have to adjust a bit heavily.

Combat feels very different. There is more weight behind everything. you can't change direction while in mid air, many attacks have to be charged up or take a bit to execute, every attack uses energy, which regenerates but is quite limiting in long fights.

Crafting and building feels okay. It feels like you spend more time trying to navigate the menus while juggling with many different items than actually playing, but you get used to it.

The world is fantastic! So many animated objects! So much detail! Really feels alive, especially in the outpost and generated villages. Speaking of which, there are wonderfully designed auto generated villages, outposts, camps, caverns, temples and much more. And they all look wonderful!

And the music! It is so ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ good. Calming, emotional, sets the tone for the whole game.

In conclusion, you don't get a terraria-clone. Instead of a blank canvas for you to fill with life focused on fantastic combat, you get a beautiful, living world to explore and experience.
