It is slightly better than the first Call of Duty in most aspects. They added sprint, the missions are more original. Awesome instrumental soundtrack, it should be utilized more these days, it is really fantastic.

The first Call of Duty game ever made is actually Medal of Honor: Allied Assault. Therefore the direct comparison is unavoidable. This one has worse soundtrack, generally less tracks , stealth doesn't exist and the AI is a bit less interesting. But it is the beginning of something legendary, there are a few iconic moments, many interesting locations and mainly a lot of action packed gameplay.

Awesome atmosphere and settings. Dark and dire post apocalyptic world feels immersive and slow paced gameplay fits it well. Kinda disappointing finale, based on the dumb protagonist not paying attention to what is being said to him.

True half-life experience. Awesome soundtrack, interesting locations, enjoyable boss fights. This gem mod can proudly stand among the half-life series together with Black Mesa. Go play it, it's free!

True wild west experience that doesn't take itself too seriously, shooting is fun, decent arcade.

INTRODUCTION
Does this game actually need it? Crysis is a First-person shooter set on an island paradise occupied by the North Korean army. There is more to it but I don't want to spoil anything even though the game is over 10 years old. It's hard to not look at this game through the glasses of nostalgia. This review follows the singleplayer only since the Gamespy services are over. There are probably ways to play the multiplayer as in other games formally powered by gamespy but I decided to not focus on that.
GAMEPLAY
It's a classic shooter with some interesting elements added to it. You as a super-soldier equipped with a nano-suit (which looks pretty cool) have a huge open area in every level to play with. Your suit has many special abbilites (maximum speed, strenght, armor, invisibility) they use energy which you regenerate just by standing at place. These abbilities sound simple but they're super fun to use and they fit every player's play style. Enjoy stealth? No problem. Like to go in hard? No problem, the suit suits all your needs. It is a also a great explonation of why are you able to kill a whole army of enemies. They don't have the nano technology do they? The suit is overpowered, looks nice, but it doesn't make you immortal. The game can be quite challenging, depends on the dificulty you've chosen. The game offers a lot of weapons to choose from, you can also modife them, the ui for this is just great, you can change everything during the combat without having to stop the game. There are a lot of vehicles to choose from. Cars, trucks, boats? With machine guns? Every level is just a huge playground and it's on you to decide how you want to approach it. Closer to the end it gets more linear but it has its reasons and it works well. In terms of gameplay there isn't anything I found annoying or not working. It was close to perfect pretty much, suited the game brilliantly.
ATMOSPHERE
The plot is just great. The island is beautifull. Everything makes sense. The missions are simple as of type "go there" "do that" but the bits of story around them is what makes them interesting. The game is intense the whole time, there aren't boring parts, the atmoshpere is thrilling and the story just keeps pushing you foward, you want to know what's behind it all and what's going to happen next. Great beginning, great ending and everything between them was great, no flaws here.
GRAPHICS
This game is the most famous benchmark in the video gaming world. When someone got a new computer after this game released, the first question you asked them was: Can it run Crysis? And boy a lot of them couldn't. This game looks astonishing! and it was released 13 years ago. I had to stop many times and just watched the beautiful scenery this game has to offer. In terms of graphics crysis is a gem and the time when it's going to look old still hasn't arrived.
CONCLUSION
It's hard to judge a game that's so old. But let me say one thing. It aged extremely well. There are trash games, bad games, average games, good games and masterpieces. There aren't a lot of masterpieces on the market. But if something comes close to it, it has to be this game. Now I couldn't protect myself from the nostalgia, I loved this game as a kid and I still love it after all these years. It's not a long game. But the modern habit of filling open world games with boring content just to make it longer, kills the gaming industry. This is a very entertaining gaming package for two days. But I guaranteee you that you will enjoy it! Pick it up on sale, it's almost for free...

Great game:
💛💛💛💛🖤 (All around high quality experience)

All of these are subjective (objectivity doesn't exist), but I am trying to be as fair as possible.
