Morrowind, the game of my childhood, the starter of my love for The Elder Scrolls series. Mechanics are so outdated, but the story, soundtrack and lore still tops most things I've played since. Mod this to hell to make it look better, crash it a few times and embrace its bugginess and love every second of this. <3

This game is of course very niche, but it's got to be one of the best of its kind. It's story is so detailed, and feels realistic because of how much the writer has considered the laws of modern science. I do not regret a single second I've played this game, and the twists and turns just get better and more creepy. I love how much my mind is blown every single time I play one of these games.

Give this a shot if you can spare the time and mental investment. It's a *very* long game, but it's so worth it.

My only gripe is that to get the perfect ending, you do need a walkthrough. Some in-game decisions are unintuitive, and your selection may not correspond with what you were hoping to do, so it's not worth the amount of time trying to trial and error your way through. Definitely play the game all the way through without a guide then once you understand the downfalls of the mechanics, a walkthrough is invaluable.

Definitely one of my favourite games even if it's super frustrating and sometimes difficult! If you manage to get through a level, it's incredibly satisfying though. And it has that Nintendo vibe in that it's lovely and family-friendly while being high-quality.

I understand the appeal. I see why this is a game worth playing for some, but I came across a game feature which was labelled "meta". It opens the main menu; I wondered if I'd just opened the game within the game... so through experimenting with the options, I actually just ended up deleting my save file from within that by accident. I was about half way through this game, and my progress so far had felt like a slow, mind numbing crawl of repetitive mechanics which just made me think "So... does this... get better?"

I probably wouldn't have asked for a refund of the game if I hadn't encountered that. I am very unwilling to go through the first nearly two hours of gameplay I experienced again. Therefore, this game gets a "not recommended" from me! Sorry, guys!

What an amazing game for what looks really simple and retro! My first impression of it was "Pfft, why should I play yet another one of those retro-looking games? I want something immersive and awesome. Pixels aren't gonna do that..." Also bullet hells? -makes a face- Never really liked them...

Boy, was I wrong.

This has become a game I've now sunk 30 hours into and completed three times in the space of a few weeks (which is quite extensive, given each play through takes about 8 hours). I've just finished my final playthrough and even though I knew what was coming next, everything was just as emotional and gripping as it was the first and second time I played through the game. The characters are amazing. The music is ingenious. The storyline... it's very immersive, because it involves *you* as the player. I love how there're meta easter eggs in this game that are beyond just a reference to some popular TV show or film. You'll know what I mean if you play this game and look up fan theories for yourself.

Just, this game. It's shockingly amazing. It deserves to be some big-name's 2015 No.1 Game of the Year.
