After playing hundreds of hours of RBR, I never thought another game's physics could come close to it in terms of realism.

Dirt 2.0 has really done a great job with the handling model and they have made it so you actually need to weight transfer and throw the car into the corner. Driving in heavy rain with a slippery track definitely feels like your lateral grip is severely reduced, in fact lateral grip in general is much less, and much more realistic than the original.

Lots of people are complaining about racenet and how you need to be online to log times etc. I think that is the way it should be, it stops people using unfair means to just tell the game that they got a certain time and then reconnecting. It's really overblown an issue and shouldn't be something that should matter in this age of connectivity.

The only cons I can think of are that the pacenotes are sometimes fairly inaccurate. Sometimes a 5 will be more like a 3, and even on the earliest setting I get the pacenote called as I'm hitting the corner. I think a few custom options would go a really long way on this game in terms of pace notes. Another great option would be to have a setting where you cannot change gears unless the clutch is in for certain cars (eg. H-shifters) or if you clutchless shift and rev match properly then it might not be a problem.

All in all, a well made game, really gives you the sense of frantic rush you get in a real rally car (minus the near death side) and a must have for any rally sim fan.

I disagree with trophy hunting, I think if you kill an animal you should have a purpose just beyond the killing/hanging on a wall. It's really messed up.

That said...

I honestly cant recommend this game enough. I never do reviews... But this game will change your outlook on life. On the real talk, its mind bending and carthartic beyond anything I ever thought games could achieve.

CS:GO Review
My Grandpa, Paul Creenus (worked for Paul Beenis Games) showed me this game back in the 60s and I've never looked back. Just a masterpiece of the platforming genre among other great titles such as Kill Butt, Kill Butt 2, Kill Butt 2 : 2 and many more such as race race mans and the like. I finally found the key at the last level and it's just a big time boy baby man ♥♥♥♥.
