Cities is brilliant, well made and challenging with playstyles to suit everyone. The launch was...not great. But now; massive improvements from launch, pretty frequent fixes and improvements. IMO there are enough features and enough stability to justify jumping in now. It's surpassed Cities 1 in just about every way, except mod and content breadth.

Mods exist and, from what I hear are pretty good, though I've stuck with vanilla for now (though MoveIt is tempting me!)

Game is decent enough, but a AAA title with this many crashes (even a couple of BSODs) is not acceptable. I've played more stable betas. Update; Game is now pretty stable, not that months post release is an acceptable period of time to wait for stability.

This is not early access, it is a very, very old game. It is terrible. It forces you to play a game when you first launch, there is actually no way to exit it. It then tries to force you to buy something with real money and crashes. It looks terrible, its buggy, looks terrible, is terrible, also looks terrible. Also doesn't work.
