It's got performance problems on launch, probably related to the Void 2 engine but the stuff that the games matters in (the gameplay, the story, music, atmosphere) are on freaking point. This game is a solid purchase. A humorous, challenging, and addictive gameplay...loop. (nailed it)

However, I feel like the whole "masterpiece" or "10/10" rating this game got is a little misleading. I kind of expected this experience to be more of me figuring out how exactly to beat the loop, but the game streamlines the process quite a bit. In terms of accessibility, that's a great move, but part of the appeal of the game advertised to me was the mystery, the dying repeatedly to figure out new pieces of the puzzle, and sure that happened, but it seemed a lot more obvious than mysterious. Ending is pretty anti-climactic, too, but the whole setup is really cool.

I don't like number ratings, but if I were rating this game, it's like a heavy 7 / light 8. Get this if you like Arkane games. If you want something that's a bit more complex but more rewarding feeling, Prey and its companion DLC Mooncrash are good alternatives, probably a little better.

A celebration of everything that makes up the RE series. It's campy but simultaneously somewhat serious, and the game finds ways to improve upon everything 7 did: more guns with clean gunplay, longer plot, weapon customization, collectables, etc. It does drag on a little bit at points and some of the backtracking was annoying, but where the game shines, it exceeds all my expectations, then throws in some complete suprises. Definitely worth a purchase.

Also, ray tracing may take up some performance, but the game looks absolutely stunning on my RTX 3070 with RT on.

A physics simulation unlike any other. Combat is entertaining and while the story is a bit lack luster, the physics interactions with the environment and the sheer effort put into making the world feel tactile is worth a purchase.

Oh, and that soundtrack. That godly soundtrack. ♥♥♥♥'s beautiful, man.

Early Access Review
Perhaps one of the most in-depth gun handling seen in a virtual simulation. There's a bit of a learning curve when it comes to things like slide closing and cocking and movement options (to be completely honest with you, I refunded the game because I thought my Rift S wasn't compatible as much with the game but I rebought it, got off my lazy butt, and got to learning the ins and outs), but I strongly recommend putting in the time to learn them, because this game is like a sandbox chock full of guns and it's soooooo rewarding to try out all the different challenge modes.

Also the dev is an absolute boss. <3 you Anton!

Oh my god.

It's so freakin' good.

Like, I hadn't really considered VR as a viable platform for games until this came around and dropkicked me in the face.

This game made me blow 400 dollars away for a used headset mid-pandemic, and it was totally ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ worth risking my life for it.

♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, Valve, you did it again.

I just hope this is a wakeup call for gamedevs around the world that VR is most definitely worth it.

A HL2 fan game that sets out to do the whole play-as-a-bad-guy thing way better than HDTF. Definitely worth a playthrough, it's for free!

A gruesome, bloody march through the darkest hours of WWII. Whereas other titles in the series revel in the glory and honor of combat, this CoD chooses to do the opposite. It drenches you knee-deep in moral ambiguity that the newest titles in the series sorely lack. A heavy-recommendation from me if you'd like to feel completely exhausted by the end of the campaign.

Oh, and Zombies is really cool too. That was really neat.

<<Yo buddy, still alive?>>

Controls for flightsticks are still wonky, but I believe that they'll patch it. Other than that, this is my first Ace Combat title and it sure as hell ain't going to be my last. I love this game series now wtf
