lots of party games, quite a bit of variety, and quite a big time-sink

Considering how bad this game's problems are, not many words need to be said about it.

The game itself seems to be pretty nice, but the issues with how badly it runs on even high-end hardware renders it nearly unenjoyable.

As for some in-depth ranting...
I suspect it is so poorly programmed that it is single-threaded and doesn't do caching, which means the game hangs when it needs to load stuff off your HDD.
Or busy handling new situations...
... and that happens a lot and seems to be getting worse the farther in you get.
Can you imagine a game dropping to less than 5 FPS or even becoming unresponsive when loading levels or going back to the map? How about even when you use a special power or start a new wave?
Just put a couple of hours into this game and you get it. Please do note that I played it off an HDD and not an SSD, which should alleviate the problems somewhat. But I'm not gonna bother now that my cards dropped.

And yeah, the amount of CPU capacity and RAM it occupies is negligible on my pretty-high-end pc

Its a nice little adventure peppered with cheesy jokes and cheesy pop-culture references.

Enjoyed it a lot, though its probably best to get it on discount during a sale, or in some bundle where I got my copy.

Beautiful game with some somewhat frustrating timings - especially the battle against the mob you can barely roll across and the final battle. On the whole, the difficulty is not terribly high mostly due to there being a lot of waypoints and the game being rather short.

And with the price (and a proper discount during sales), it is worth it.
None of the puzzles truly require razor-thin timing. Actually, nothing save for the final fight gets any harder than the first boosted jump (with spinning dandelions).

Biggest ♥♥♥♥ imo are:
* sometimes finicky/nonresponsive controls (the bow acts like it has a cooldown after 2 arrows, but nothing makes that obvious from appearances.)
* somewhat nasty timings in certain situations (the beast that hits the ground and causes a ring to expand outwards? if you get hit close to him, theres only a few frames' time to jump out before the next cycle)
