As Salaam Alaikum my brother Mistok4rul! If you bring special attention to something in a narrative, the reader assumes its important. I've looked through some of the comments so far, and it seems like I'm the only one who thinks that this is a really good idea. Others have already mentioned verisimilitude, characterization and atmosphere. Really, it just has to have a function, and preferrably be entertaining or at least interesting. Maybe give a reason for things, I don't think you should be adding anything pointless to your story. For some, adding just an extra dash of realism can elevate a story in its entirety. For others, unless every single detail somehow foreshadows a story turning point it can completely ruin the experience. Honestly, I never thought about this so deeply, you get used to writing like this and can immediately tell what is happening and you get bored because of it. In all seriousness though, please take your time reading because Allāh is the greatest!
