A lot of people think this game is random - it's not. It's all based on your skill stats. If you work to raise your magic skill and no others, and something like a finesse roll comes up - you will fail that roll. The randomness comes in what skills are tested at each location. I worked to raise my mind skill at the hospitol and ended up continually failing physique rolls, and as a result ended up raising my magic skill and lowering my mind, leading to my picking the conjurer ending for that character. This makes it seems as though the game is random, but it's all ruled by your base stats.

That said, this game can be played in 10 minute intervals if you're killing time, or in longer stretches if you want to unravel more story lines. It's very rewarding getting the best endings, but even some of the worst plot twists reward your curiosity. I tried to play an evil character and stayed in the slums pickpocketing on every turn but ended up giving that character the best Robin Hood ending I could have imagined. Some endings seem great, but have a twist to them that ends up haunting you and bringing you back just to try to improve it. I reccomend playing with all characters out as that seems to lengthen the game time.

This game is quick paced (if you want it to be) and rewarding, and worth a play - or five or six or a hundred.

This game got really boring, really fast. At first I liked the story part of the game and thought it added a nice element to a sandbox game, but then in the next chapter all the things I had modified/built in the first chapter were gone. Gone. Maybe I've been playing sandbox and management games wrong this entire time, but this is a first for me. I quit storied mode immediately and went on to play in full sandbox mode. It was a lot more fun but eventually it just turned into sitting there waiting for a new disease to spring up to give you 30 seconds of something to do as you built a new hospital ward. Then it seemed to run out of new diseases and I spent the rest of my time tabbed out checking facebook. Will probably never play this again. Boring.

First off - I love this game. It's a ton of fun as long as you see it as an exposition of game style and not as a game itself. It's like playing through a documentary about the game industrys evolution. The game itself is somewhat simplistic, but you do get a chuckle out of it every few minutes and the bosses are tricky enough to keep your attention, but I had two major problems with it.

1. OMG random encounters. Every frickin' second. I understand that you probably want to level the character faster, but after a while I'm just hitting the a button repeatedly while I watch a movie on my other screen and not even paying attention anymore because it just becomes so boring. Once you get the ship it's kind of fixed, but the ship can't go everywhere - like to the starting map etc. If you want me to level faster give me more xp per kill - don't throw more fights at me. If you want me to focus on levelling before the boss, then tell me this and I will go do it - don't force it down my throat. Besides, my levels don't even count when I get to the final boss (I don't think so anyway).

2. The final boss fight. I just unlocked a new type of health bar, why am I back to hearts? No bueno. I understand you want to make this fight difficult, themost difficult in the game even, but do it by being clever, not by making me think you suck at storyboarding.

3. I know I said two problems but this is less a problem more a request. Make it longer! :) I love this game - I want to keep playing! There are so many more engines I could be unlocking! Quake, Source, or Unreal - I would love to play this as a true 3d rpg! Keep going please! :)

Those are my two (three) cents. Keep up the good work - if development people even read this lol

The whole point of this game is to not knock stuff over. You're basically an octopus trying to act like a human and not call attention to yourself. If you knock too much stuff over, or bump into to too many people, the level resets. The levels escallate in difficulty, and there are a range of challenges - from frying burgers, to buying groceries - but the main aspect of the game is, imo to showcase a new movement style. I've never had to use each mouse button to move a corresponding leg before and it's a unique style of gameplay, but relatively easy to pick up. I got kind of bored with how simple the story was, and how generic and predictable the villain was, but it cracks some pretty funny jokes and maybe it will pick up as I progress with it.

This game is gorgeous. It has a haunting, melancholy story but the narration actually made me laugh a few times so it keeps you upbeat enough to keep playing. The puzzles are fun, but the battles don't make any sense to me. It's more like button smash, (drink potions, pick your weapons upgrades) and hope for the best, but the story is really good and makes up for it.

I was surprised how pulled into the story I was by this game. It was way too damn short, but if you buy the bundle you get four games so I figure it's just like buying a game with chapters. I don't like that you have to play the game twice to get all of the acheivements since it's not really interesting enough to be replayable, but it's nice enough for a once through especially at steams summer price.

Story is kind of weird but gameplay is good. If it wont play, either disable second monitor or withdraw from steam beta. I definately recommend this as a cool kind of puzzle game, but not so much a story game. Maybe I'll change my tune once I've beaten it and the story makes sense...

This game proved to me that I will play a game from start to finish repeatedly even if it has ♥♥♥♥♥♥ controls. A good story beats all.
