I'm changing this to not recommended. The bot issue is out of control and they don't seem to have any intention of resolving this issue. I can't log in this morning because there are literally so many bots that our low pop server now has a morning queue lmaoooooo

Good:
- Generally fun gameplay/combat. Especially if you don't mind some grinding.
- Fun with friends/partner. Easy enough to group and progress together. It can get sticky later if someone in your friend group has bad RNG as this can cause them to get left behind for a bit.
- Free™
- Beautiful
- Mildly fun exploration/hidden secrets to find. Would be more fun if they'd clean everything up so there weren't so many sticky invisible walls/rubble/edges etc. It feels clunky to be running along a wall and get stuck on nothing repeatedly.

Annoying:
- Gender locked classes. It's just cheap/lazy developing and I'll never get behind it. The rest of the world has new gender options and you're still struggling with two?
- Female characters have a whole grand canyon gap between their legs and waddle-walk to the point of absurdity. It's like they've never watched an actual human walk before. I like to imagine that the art designers tried on their mom's high heels for the first time and then based the walking motion entirely on that experience.
- Predictably, the game is very generous with loot etc until it isn't. Then you get the squeeze and "helpful" hints about how to spend money to go faster.
- Random waits for things. For example, someone can join your guild but the game forces them to be in a noob status for three full days before you can change their rank. They also can't really contribute in guild activities during that time either.
- The game takes forever to load compared to other modern games. Normally this wouldn't be a problem except it also closes to the desktop if you timeout or lose connection etc.
- Outdated UI with elements all over the place

The worst:
- The name system is horrifically outdated. You can try typing in gibberish but there's a good chance the legion of bots spamming the server already have it lol. How hard is it to let us have a space in our name? Or at least more than one cap?! You actually put focus on having alts and then include this problematic naming system for what? Adding insult to injury, deleting a character over level 10 yeets the name you had into the void and you can't use it again. It's just gone. This is of course after you've waited a couple of days for the character to delete because they wanna get that character slot money!
- YOU NEED TO LET US MOVE OR HIDE THE LOOT NOTIFICATION. It completely blocks the progress bar on my charge/hold skills and this is not acceptable. I don't need literally every single piece of loot to be spammed in big letters in the middle of my screen.
- The bots. SO MANY bots. In the early days of the game there was a lot of chatter as people announced bosses etc. It's pretty much dead now. They've also made the system for reporting said bots unnecessarily cumbersome. I don't understand the purpose of forcing someone to type more information when the option you want is listed as a dropdown. This just deters people from reporting.
- Partial controller support is being EXTREMELY generous. Bare minimum might even be too generous. The way it forces the terrible onscreen keyboard can be rage inducing. The cursor needs a speed option. There's a speed option for if you use your keyboard as a mouse it can't be that complicated.

This is the game that causes a thirst that can't ever quite be quenched by other similar games. I've played through it on two other platforms and here I am yet again falling off the airship. It's got pokemon elements where you tame monsters that hang out and fight with you/you can ride them as mounts. Later on you can make them work the farm for you and they give unique items such as wool/milk etc. Farming is a little more involved than other more generic games letting you grow literal dungeons and not locking you out of crops that aren't in season. It's got decent combat, cooking, fishing, friendship, romance, down the line a little shop that you can run to sell things right away instead of using the shipping box. Amazing characters that basically don't even really repeat themselves at all for the entire first year. Great events and festivals. Honestly my biggest critique is that this stupid game set my expectations a little too high and has mildly ruined other games since I finished my first playthrough. It just has that... something. Heart. At least to me. It's got that spark that sets it apart from the newer and somewhat soulless feeling games.

If you're looking for comfy you found it.

I'm editing this because after a few more hours I realize that I hadn't said nearly enough. What seems like a cute sandbox game at first turned out to be deeper and more interesting than I initially thought. This game is positively enchanting. It's adorable. I'm enamored. Seriously. From the little conversations that your weird housemates have randomly to the interesting mechanics around generating new areas for resource and the clever way that all ties in. All the attention to detail helps this game avoid the soullessness that other sandbox games tend to have. There's an older dude in my town and I noticed he goes to bed earlier than everyone else. If that wasn't just a coincidence then I am honestly impressed. Little touches like that breathe life into games.

Honestly bravo. Just wow. What a pleasant surprise this game has been. It's clear that the focus was fun and I love it.

This game has no business being this fun.

It's like someone took a good hard look at all the decent survival games and cut out all the unnecessary fat. There's so much to love. I haven't fallen into a game this hard or fast since Minecraft. The graphics actually kind of remind of of Minecraft with shaders so the aesthetic is unique and beautiful in its own way. There's so much to do. I think I've done a lot but then I look at the map and realize I've barely scratched the surface. I really can't recommend it enough.

Definitely my best overall VR experience to date and I've been playing since I got an Oculus dev kit 1 way back in the day. Played this one wirelessly using a Quest and I don't really feel like it detracted anything from the experience. If anything being able to walk around without a tether was a plus.

I am a huge wimp and I don't usually do horror games. There were times where I'd stand at the start of a long, dark, scary hallway for several minutes and seriously question my life choices that brought me to that point. It was worth it though. It never felt old or repetitive, which was nice. Each new area brought some new mechanics. For example, having to physically hold your hand over your mouth to avoid coughing in parts was wild.

I may still need therapy after Jeff. Jeff is the worst.

Still one of the best games I've ever played.

We have very different ideas of what “full controller support” means.

God help you if you ever need support from these people and their horrendous website.

This game is weird, cute, and absolutely horrifying. When you start you can't help but feel a little creeped out. Then you make a chicken. Then your chicken dies. Then you try to make a chicken without a mouth or legs with the remaining parts and feel like a monster as it stands there blinking at you sadly. Kill meee.....
