A very enjoyable PvE (with occasional "accidental" PvP depending on your mates) experience where you both feel expendable and like the hero in a last stand or an elite force devastating the enemy. You can earn premium currency (super credits) at a decent rate by exploring the map for points of interest, and the warbonds never expire so your main method of progression can be done perfectly fine without paying. There is a rotating item store that does feature some armours with perks, but also a lot of pure cosmetics.
Sometimes the balancing updates have gone a bit overboard but overall the devs are very good at listening to community feedback and I continue to have a lot of fun with this game
