Prime War lag is mostly fixed so game is good now

The concept of this game was amazing, the potential it still has is amazing but I cant help but feel almost every aspect of the game needs to be heavily changed just to be enjoyable.

- The combat is extremely poor and boring
- Boss Fights are very boring, no cool mechanics, the attack patterns are extremely generic, the difficulty is purely depending on your level compared to their level and has nothing to do with actual skill sadly.
- The Hud and all UI feels extremely lackluster.
- The gameplay loop is way too boring and repetitive, basically feels like go in portal graft gear to reach x level fight boss and repeat

I really hope to see this game take another year or 2 to really make this the amazing game it could be altho it seems unlikely.

Already had a positive review originally but now that I really got a good feel for the game there are some issues that I really dont like but overall I think the good HUGELY outweigh's the bad.

Im not gonna go into every single thing I like about this game because truly I love everything about this game other than a few issues, so its easier to say what I dont like.

My biggest issue with this game is that the bosses are too easy. I think the first 3 main bosses are good as they arent too challenging but really good boss fights to get into the game for those who may not be as skilled or new to soulslike games but after those first 3 Im starting to first try or second try almost every main boss, Every single boss after The Hushed Saint was in less than 10 tries and I feel thats simply too easy for this genre of game.

Another issue I have is needing PVP for severed hands, I live in the middle of nowhere and have a very hard time connecting to other players games in most games I play because my internet is just really bad and this is making it nearly impossible to get a lot of severed hands, on average I am able to invade once every 20 attempts over the span of an hour or so and its caused me to simply give up on that until I am able to get better internet.

The last issue isnt so much an issue but more of a thing i wished was better and thats the enemy variety, theres simply not enough regular enemy variety and it feels repetitive always fighting similar enemies.

I would highly recommend this game to anyone, This game is easily in my top 5 games of all time.

I have a lot of cons for this game but I still really enjoy the game and think the pros outweigh the cons (even if it might not look like it from the review)

Pros:

• The PVP in this game is fun (most of the time).
  
• The gunplay is good, not the best by any means but its good.
  
• PVE is really fun for playing on a more casual base.
  
• I love the Nano Companions, they are a nice touch to add some spice to the gameplay.
  
• The graphics are good and the animations and VFX are awesome!

Cons:

• PAY TO WIN.. PVE has leaderboards and you can pay to upgrade your gear and still go for leaderboard runs making it near imossible for most players to stand a chance to get a spot on the leaderboards. As far as I know it doesnt affect PVP but I did hear a rumor you can use guntech in PVP but idk how true that is.
  
• PVE gets repetitive and bullet spongy if you want to grind PVE.
  
• Shop skins cost a pretty penny and dont look that good at all compared to skins in other games.
  
• in PVP your shield automatically recharges so if your enemy is even a little far away and you break all their shield as long as they can hide for like 4 seconds or something like that their shield goes back to 100% in a flash making mid range and long range fights extremely annoying, enraging and simply not worth even trying. I think the only fix for this would be either a shield healing item or instead of all your shield regenerating at once after 5 seconds make it only heal one bar every 4 seconds that way there you have more time to break the distance and they might heal a bit but at least they wont be right back to 4 bars of shield.
  
• Getting rewards from Open Beta has been really painful, I got the rewards on my account but not in game.
  
• The sniper is my favorite weapon but it really needs a bullet trail because when I go for these 200m snipes I have no clue where my shot is going as theres no visual feedback and it makes going for sniper headshots on players who arent moving much very annoying since its very hard to learn how the sniper actually works.
  
• PVP promotes camping, if you play super passive until the last extraction you still have 3 lives and you pretty much are guaranteed a win.

I absolutely love this game, the art style is adorable, the mushrooms are real mushrooms with real world information so you can actually learn about them, the puzzles are fun and not very time consuming.
I 100% completed the game in only 5 hours playing at a very casual pace which is the perfect length for a small adventure platformer.

10/10 game altho I do suggest waiting for a sale because the price is a bit much for only roughly 5 hours of gameplay.

if this game had more gamemodes like maybe pvp duels would be awesome I also LOVE the ice parkour and think if there was ever a level editor in the game there could be insane parkour levels, I would love to see way more parkour levels and more challenging parkour levels.
