Its good, like a 6/10, but you can beat it in about 6 hours, and I read a lot of the dialogue, so take that for what you will. The story takes a little long to get going and is bizarrely mature in execution but has a very cute cartoony presentation, which was odd (especially about 2/3 through the story). The graphics are cute but they seriously needed to use more colours, or at the very least use the colour BLACK because the game is hard to look at with all the green everywhere.

Overall, lots of minor problems, none of them are really deal breakers if you want a casual, visual-novel-esque story. However, if you are planning on getting all achievements, don't return the ant when you find him. It's part of an achievement that's bugged if you try to pick him up during act 3. Pick up the ant in act 1/2 and keep him so you don't have to restart and do all of act 2/3 again just for one achievement.

Very compelling story and fantastic presentation that got me hooked initially. BUT this game is extremely difficult, it's punishing, requires strong memorization skills, and is not well optimized. Thankfully you have mods to make the game easier to enjoy if you just want the story content. Subjectively it gets a thumbs up, objectively speaking the game isn't for everyone.

Also, this game is suitable for 15+ in Korea? Just so you know, the game is filled with body horror, violence, and the story is intense. As far as I know, there's just one jump scare in the game, so don't touch the red button and you'll probably be fine.

It's okay. Stability, performance, and gameplay issues are fixable with mods, but that should be more of a warning than anything. The game, even modded, still suffers from flaws, including but not limited to: horrible controls in menus, terrible controls in combat, maze-like and claustrophobic level design (whether intentional or not), a very unhelpful local map, and way too much walking in a straight line with nothing interesting to look at or do.

It's good that the game is cheap, I would only recommend this to people who are willing to look past the fact the game is tied together with elmer's glue and scotch tape and who are okay with working a little to get the most out of the game (you're gonna need the wiki to find those unmarked quests). 6/10 unmodded, 7 or more when modded.

I like MonHun but this is too expensive for what is ultimately a boring grind. Endgame content is literally gambling for gear progression.
Wait for a big sale. Alternatively, wait for the next MH game that (hopefully) will have more new content and not be on gimped Nintendo Switch hardware. If you haven't played MH:World get that one on sale.
DLC is a blight on the industry.

okay serious criticism, while the game is fun on the first two difficulties, "pro gamer aim" is extremely difficult because yellow "hold' targets have almost no time to actually hit because you fall so fast. other than that the game is relatively fair.

Complaints about Denuvo had me scared but the game runs fine so far.
UPDATE: Denuvo stutters do exist, maybe 1/20 song attempts that it happens during gameplay and it will cause you to miss notes, so if you are super concerned about playing perfect this could be a problem.

My favourite DIVA game is still Project Mirai (because it has a better difficulty curve), but this one's great.
It's a bit expensive and ludicrously hard, but the price tag brings more than enough music to break your fingers to.

The difficulty of this game comes from the chart/notes flying around all over the screen making it difficult to see what you need to press, but on just "hard" and not "hardest" or "extreme", its fair enough.

Buy on sale, play with friends. Suffers from Rogue-like-isms:
-Surprisingly low variety of enemies and levels; lots of reuse
-RNG drops mean getting items that are fun or that you want is not likely, getting a good run is even harder. Getting bad items/hard levels means a lost run and a waste of time.
-Very poor feedback; damage feels unavoidable which makes winning feel less skillful. Hitting enemies and getting hit sound identical. Almost no visual feedback for taking shield damage, when enemies are going to shoot, and more.
-Some enemies and explosives hit through walls
-Boss difficulty ranges from extremely easy to the final boss spawning 12 tanks in the last 10 seconds to cuck you out of any semblance of happiness. All bosses are poorly designed and feel like a panic attack, not a tactical battle.
-Level up and prestige system gates content. Go look up how to save edit and save yourself 100 hours of slaving away.
-Item descriptions are not shown until you pick them up, have fun checking the wiki for every shop item
-Game wants you to be Rambo by rewarding multi-kills and having some chests lock over time, but heavily dis-incentivizes this by killing you very quickly if you don't hide behind cover and reducing accuracy if moving.

Shooting guns feels good but there's a lot of problems here. I have hopes that Synthetik 2 will be better.

This would be really cool if it focused more on the sandbox elements, but instead the game is a brutally unforgiving Roguelike and RNG dependant for you to succeed, the enemy design is horribly balanced and relies on scaling HP, while the final boss remains a cakewalk. Almost all of the game's secrets and side contents require online guides as they are all obtuse and require a perfect run before you can attempt most of them.

Even with mods the game feels unfair and lacking in thoughtful design, the vast majority of cool ideas you could have with wands will never come to fruition due to all of the restrictions the game puts on you, while making the enemies ruthless. This is a game that dangles fun in front of your face before pulling it away from you and sending you back to the beginning. This is not a game, this is a sandbox someone tried to call a game by making it hard to play. Unless you're a freak for roguelikes you will not have fun here.
