It looks like addition of anti-consumer bloatware and malware like EAC and Denuvo into the games have turned into an irrational fashion nowadays.

That is the only explanation why a game like VRChat, which doesn't have any serious competitiveness to it, gets EAC/EOS garbage.

This event also shows sad reality of how detached from reality and their fans many developers are.

Even after overwhelming feedback of negative reviews on Steam, developers are saying: "we are adding EAC anyway, suck it up and submit". Listing block of community modifications and improvements as main feature(sic!) of the EAC addition.

It was a nice time with VRChat, while it lasted.

This is a really good one. You can already judge by number of reviews, if you check the store page. Usually DLC's get like few reviews, this one got a tonn. Because it's not your typical DLC, but a good old Addon, like we've had in 90s and 00s. Think of Yuri's Revenge for original Red Alert 2. It's basically a new game build on top of an already good original. A full convertion to a different theme.

Shipwrecked's theme is tropical islands. Things you've always wanted to do when you've been reading "Robinson Crusoe" or "The Mysterious Island" by Jules Verne. A survival roguelike. That's the first recommendation.

In typical review it's expected to write about game's gameplay, pros and cons. But I won't do it this time. Because it would be a spoiler. This game is a roguelike, so it's expected for player himself to explore the game and unveil it's mysteries.

Right now I'm looking in disapprove at you, people who love to play by guides and wiki's. Just don't. This game is all about mystery. Don't cheat, play by yourself. Don't be stupid, don't ruin game for yourself. I, myself, have dropped Don't Starve for so many times. Not understanding the game. But I've been coming back for the perfect execution and appeal of the game. How great this game looks and how cool it plays. And eventually I've learned the taste. That's how it's intended because this game is a roguelike. And it's a quite friendly roguelike to start with, for people who want to get into the genre. So, here is the second recommendation.

For people who are experienced in genre, and those who are curious about quality of the game. It's what is written on the tin. That's the third recommendation.

This game has great GNU/Linux port for those libre software lover who furrow the seas of the Internet. Made by great developers who care about user's freedom. For once, Don't Starve Together, multiplayer version of this game, has LAN support for those who want to play privately and care about preservation of their games. Klei's games are very good quality and value. Also you might meet some penguins and GNUs(don't really, but buffalo are pretty close one) in base game.

TL;DR:

• It's what's written on a tin. A true roguelike.
  
• Tropical Island survival mystery for all kids who loved books about Robinson Crusoe. Those want to live lonely on a tropical island.
  
• Great starting game for people who want to get into roguelike genre. Just don't read guides and wikis. Don't be stupid, don't ruin game for yourself. Everything you need to know to play the game is contained inside the game.

I will give you the only hint before you go.
While it's absolutely NOT necessary, you might want to get a gamepad on your journey to the tropical island. This game has direct character control when you're playing with a gamepad.

С играми Chucklefish у меня как-то не срастается. Абсолютно не понравился Starbound, хотя у меня несколько сотен часов в Террарию, а более технологичный движок, написанный на C++ в отличии от XNA Террарии давал надежду на новые возможности и развитие жанра. Видимо проблема в том, что в Starbound стали клепать контент вместо развития игры игромеханически. Вышло как-то жиденько и не интересно.

Stardew Valley же меня обманула. Как и массовым позитивом в адрес этой игры, так и западным разработчиком. Я думал, это качественная игра-ферма с сюжетом, и взял неглядя, когда захотелось поиграть в подобное.
Оказалось, несмотря на западного разработчика - это чистой воды JRPG. Жанр который лично мне не нравится. Точнее просто не мой жанр. И геймплей фермы тут тоже исключительно в духе JRPG - условный, аркадный с азиатским гриндом. Причём гринд именно азиатский, т.е. ты не развиваешь своё хозяйство, а в первую очередь выбиваешь разные поинты и звёзды по ходу игры.

Мультиплеер также оказался не способен спасти эту игру для меня.

Отрицательный отзыв оставляю исключительно для того чтобы мой отзыв был виден другим(и оказался кому-то полезным). Игра вроде хорошая: сделана добротно и любителям жанра нравится.

Chucklefish's games just don't click for me. Not liked Starbound at all, dispute I've played hundreds hours in Terraria. With technologically advanced engine written in C++, compared to problematic and unfit XNA, that was used in Terraria. Starbound was very promising, and gave hopes for new features and advancement in genre. Sadly, instead of developing deep gameplay they went a route of filling game with content and trinkets. Final game appeared to be watery and not interesting.

Stardew Valley has fooled me. With overwhelmingly positive reviews, being made by western developer. I've thought it's a quality farming game with story. And when I was in the mood for a peaceful farming game - I've bought Stardew Valley without deep research to preserve discovery wonder by playing myself.

Turned out, dispute being made by western developer - this game is a pure JRPG. Genre, I'm not interested in. Not my cup of tea. Farming gameplay in this game is also 100% JRPG - it's abstract, arcade-ish with Asian grind. And by Asian grind I mean that you don't develop your farmhold, but first and foremost farming different points and stars through the course of the game.

Multiplayer hasn't saved this game for me as well.

I'm leaving negative review only to make my review visible(and useful) for others. Game seem to be good: well-made and beloved by fans of this genre.

Don't make a mistake, and don't buy this game.

It's an improved version of Constructor Remake, that is still being developed and updated.
While old Constructor remake version remains on sale purely because of some weird publisher deal, developer got into.

Remember how Edmund McMillen has sold his mouth and fans to Epic Games?

And then returned back to his community.

Now he has sold his fans once again. Latest DLC for Binding of Isaac doesn't have a GNU/Linux support.
Base game has full support, but DLC doesn't. What can be more absurd?

Fans been worrying, something fishy is going on. And asked Edmund for explanation.

Don't be surprised, why Edmund suddenly speaks like a manager, instead of giving a clear answer. It's a classy NDA tactics to make people, who are harmed by exclusivity worrying and suffering from uncertainty.


Последнее ДЛЦ для Binding of Isaac не совместимо с Линукс-версией игры.
Новый рекорд по абсурду взят. По словам разработчика игры он "не уверен, выйдет ДЛЦ на линукс". "Стоит ли портирование на линукс времени/денег".

Для тех кто не знает как устроена разработка игр: ему достаточно запустить билд-ферму по сборке игры с опцией поддержки линукса.

Эдмунд МакМиллен снова продал своих фанатов Epic Games. Тим Свини, директор Epic Games большой друг Билла Гейтса и ненавидит ГНУ/Линукс. Это уже не первый раз, когда EGS платит за то чтобы игра не работала под Линуксом.

Take Two/Rockstar убивают мультиплеер ГТА 4 и забирают игру у всех оригинальных владельцев, чтобы заменить её "полным изданием" с новым РОКСТАР Лаунчером.

Was disappointed with this one. You look all the time down with VR headset on your head(it's weighty). And you suppose to do some movement to avoid objects that appear in your way when you fall down.

Was expecting some geometric mind-boggling experience, got tired and annoyed by the body position pretty quickly.

Игру и до меня много кто обозревал.

Один из наследников Master of Magic, наравне с Heroes of Might&Magic и Age of Wonders. Игра исполнена в стиле декаденса и готики. Последняя хорошая игра в серии. Если интересует жанр и играли в вышеупомянутые игры, возможно вам будет интересно ознакомится и с этой игрой.

Для хорошей работы с высокими разрешениями есть вот такой замечательный патч длл-файлами.

Игра отлично работает под GNU/Linux через Протон после установки вышеупомянутого патча путём простого копирования длл-файлов в папку с игрой.
