So as I read this statement "Do you recommend this game?" I wonder....do I truly?

Yes. All of my yes. This is actually my first purchase on Steam that was FULL PRICE. All of my friends that know me, know you gotta do a lot to make me pay for anything full price. What makes this game good?

First off, let's begin with gameplay. Gameplay can be described as a combination between Smash TV with the aestetics of Bomberman. Sounds weird but plays great. You have a primary and secondary weapon which you can switch between. That simple. There are multiple characters and actual unlockable ones. I'm being honest when I say that these aren't just simple re-skins. With how the engine runs, every character playstyle is drastically different. Only thing that stays the same is you have to keep moving regardless of character.

The controls are not complicated at all. R-trigger shoots. Right stick aims. Left Stick moves. I think left trigger swaps weapons. Pay attention to your cooldown time with weapons, keep moving, and priotitize. If you do this then you're golden.

Music is very catchy. It's not exactly the same as the trailer music was originally. All tracks start of mellow making you slightly bob your head which snowballs when the beat drops. I'm halfway through the game and a perfect example would be the hive. The checkpoint stage I couldnt help but shoot to the beat like I was Ulala or something. Would I download the soundtrack? You beat you sweet and/or sour bottom I would!

Now everybody wants to be a critic and say "What about the graphics?". It's not Crisis 3 nor does it need to be. It's art style compliments the gameplay. Why would I want to play a top down shooter that has over the top graphics. There is too much that goes on in this game and truthfully you need the change in colors so you don't foolishly just run into the bullets because you can't tell that they're bullets. Can't say it's too colorful or too dark. It's just right.

Final notes: I can't believe this is still just an Alpha. That scares the crap out of me. I'm happy to own this game and hope you get it. The only turn off could possibly be the art style since that may not be for everyone. All in all I suggest buying it. There's not much I can peg this game for and it's challenging. Like old school challenging also while being played as a respectable shump.
