Game still going after years. It definitely poses a challenging exploration experience if you want one.

1. I liked the atmosphere most as it is somewhat believable... Until I saw this ♥♥♥♥♥♥ bike trainer next to the shop. (i tried to ignore it)
2. Some kind of music was there, I barely noticed it. (thats a plus)
3. Fights where sometimes hard until you started to know how the game works. And found the overpowered traits.
4. In one occasion you could decide if you want to hand the key back or not, changing the outcome.
5. Weapon choice and weapon attachments allow you to play the game in a unique way. (Sniper Overwatch, all in, stealthy)
6. Dialogs of enemies.

2. Characters are truly flat (no backstory due to the whole story)
3. Enemies are stupid (designed to play against a specific playstyle), pathing is strange, especially when on a vertical level.
4. You can use game mechanics to make the game easier for you:
- getting up to a higher plateau then calling for your friends so they are also up there with you.
- getting into a fight mode without engaging somebody, let your mutants eat up on the enemies instead of healing them with medpacks.
5. You cant walk around freely in the home zone(the ark), it is a screen with shops that are clickable.
6. More characters than you could fit in the party. So there are 5 characters, meanwhile you only can have a party of 3. (You can choose with which you want to move on, so if you like some of them you are free to choose).

Conclusion, if you enjoy more the aesthetical and fun parts of a game, then you can pick up the game. If you like to identify with the core characters then don't (no backstory).

Don't hesitate to buy FTL.
It's cool to play in school, you can easily pause it and start to play again from where you were.

It's fun and not as easy as it looks.
It takes you to a one ship voyage through the FTL world.
It lets you dream about the future columbus adventures in the universe!
