I love this game. I love tower defense games and on one level this is one--but it isn't like any that you've ever played. Creepers aren't trying to past your defenses--the creeper fluid is going to flood your whole universe. So its sort of a firefighting game where the fire is this blue 'creeper' that is going to slowly build up and submerge your stuff and in the process destroy it. The game also takes into account terrain. One of your tools is a machine that can add or remove land. There is one map where I had to dig a hole so the creeper would collect in it first giving me some time to build my defences.

Lots of maps to play and on tons of user generated maps. Even a few where YOU are the creeper.

This game is about as indie as it gets. The UI is a little dated but it is very playable. The Dev is now working on Creeper World 4.

If you like to run and gun -- then don't buy this game.
If you want to be a squad leader and drive around and shoot things but not plan/coordinate your squad, then don't buy this game.
If you don't like that you have to have 'permission' to get into vehicles and don't like some limitations on what you do -- don't buy this game.

But if you want to try to work as part of a team, can give or follow orders/commands, and will talk back to you team -- then this game is fun as hell.

Still has work to be done, it is technically alpha, I had no real issues except my noobness on the game.

They need a rank system -- basically if you haven't really played this game, you shouldn't be able to be a squad leader. You should have to grind a bit I think to become one -- this way you won't have people just creating squads of 1 or 2 people and running aroun. Maybe that was a result of the free weekend--but some sort of way to know how good a squad leader someone is, etc. would be welcome.

Hooah!
