I honestly love this thing. Right now this is the only paid software in my workflow as everything else is FLOSS but, as far as I'm concerned, it's worth the money. For one thing, compared to other similar solutions this is both easy and feature rich. I've personally not experienced any of the bugs that are mentioned in other re\views so I think they were patched. As far as everything else though it is easy to use and I was up and running after a one hour tutorial on youtube. Previous to this all of my texture painting was done with Blender, Krita, or GIMP. I've also performed a lot of experiments with ArmorPaint. For what it's for Substance Painter is the best possible choice. When it comes to texture painting this one is better than any of the other tools I've used.

(When you buy the product on Steam you can convert your license to a standalone, which I did, which allows you to get a version that is independent of Steam, so my time of use isn't accurate)
