Really good game. Kind of a mix of DayZ and Rust.

We have to admit that it's still a beta, but which is in some parts representative for the multiplayer of the final game. So I can and will only review on the multiplayer beta based on the 4.5 hours I've played it.
I will divide this review in several different parts that are: Gameplay, Map Design, Performance and Graphic/Sound.

Gameplay:

I didn't like the fast jump style of the last three CoD games, so first I was happy that they would go back to their "old" gameplay style. There are five different game modes available to play in the beta. Four of them (Team Deathmatch, Domination, Hardpoint and Mosh Pit) are known to be the typicall game modes in a CoD and they're still fun to play but nothing new. Then there are is one new game mode playable in the beta which is called "War". There you have to defend or attack points which reminds me of Rush in the Battlefield series but it's much more diversified than that. Really cool new game mode I must say.
The weapons are so far so good in my opinion fine balanced and it's nice to play old ww2 weapons, even though I don't like it that you can use "holo sights" in a ww2 game. They shouldn't've added this unrealistic stuff into the game.
So the gameplay feels like CoD which is good in some way but in the other way bad because it's probably lacking of long-term motivation.

One more thing I have to say which isn't really part of the gameplay but doesn't fit to the other headlines is that they really messed up the ww2 feeling with all this politcal correctnes. I mean really they replaced the swastikas and you can play black female nazi soldiers?? Doesn't make the game bad but destroys the ww2 feeling for me though.

Map Design:

The Maps are pretty small as known for CoD. Some people might like it some might not. BUT we have so far only seen the beta maps and I want to remind that there will be more and maybe bigger maps in the final game.
All around the maps are a good mix of ww2 feeling and typical CoD map design.

Performance:

All I can say for my part about the performance is that I should definetely get more fps with my i5-4460 and R9 380.
So they really have to fix the performance and optimize the final game, because as a Counter Strike player I really want to get more than 80 fps all the time in every situation in a multiplayer game which is not case right now in the beta. And also I don't want to get frame drops from 90 to 40-60 all the time I'm in a combat.

Graphic/Sound:

The graphics are Okay for a game in 2017. But the sound is really terrible. You can't really hear enemies over your own footsteps and some weapon sounds are just copy pasted from old CoD games which doesn't make the weapons feel like ww2 guns.


In conclusion I would give the beta 5/10 right now and so on can not recommend it. But still we have to wait for the final game which comes out on the 3rd of November.

Good old times when you couldn't slide on walls or jump up like a superhero.

PS: the dlc maps are pretty good in my opinion
