Path of the Damned, Expert, Iron; holy crap, challenge is BROOTAL.

Did you like Baldurs Gate? You'll like this. You don't have to do Iron, but you owe it to yourself to try Path of the Damned to get the noggin crankin. The game will never be as hard as the hardest difficulties and conditions on the first playthrough, you can only get that once. Every inch I make it on Iron further than the last death is incredibly rewarding.

Play this game on Uber from start to end, and be the badass you were meant to be in a Wolfenstein game. I was concerned with the ease at the beginning of the game, things get better as you progress. I can't really say too much without spoilers, but if you're looking for a game to unleash carnage this game comes through. Also the length of the game was really refreshing. Will be doing replay to get all the enigma codes which unlock more modes to the game.

If you're on the fence about this game, buy it.

This game's good. The Unfair difficulty is actually really challenging and punishes mistakes heavily. There's a good amount of items of which you can equip your character with 2 at a time, that are activateable and will get you out of a pinch but don't break the game. They're not impossible to get as far as grinding is concerned, and just by playing the game and feeling it out will improve your overall character naturally. The spell selection for the Wizard is a cool idea, forcing you to hit keystrokes/buttons in a specific series to conjure 1 of the 9 different spells available (I guess mimicking hand gestures). All of the characters are strong, though, Questor (the archer) being my favorite. The game is really an excellent modernization of the Atari version (which I remember the most, only briefly played any of the others), while it captures much of the same mechanics it really is its own game and holds up against any single player or co-op game I've played over recent years.

With the recommendation of this game, comes another recommendation, play it on Unfair right away. No single player/co-op game will ever be as hard as it is on the hardest difficulty for the first playthrough. If you give it a fair chance and decide it's too tough, tone it down a notch, it will feel too easy. If you don't play it with the harshest conditions possible with the intention of beating it on normal/hard for the first playthrough, and plan to play on Unfair after that you are cheating yourself. You will already know the layouts, completed the learning curve, and mastered how to manipulate bosses/challenges with training wheels on. Don't be a ♥♥♥♥♥. No grown ass man should be proud of beating a game, or difficulty setting, designed for children.

This game is reasonably priced.

Update since CS2:

CS2 on release is in a much better place relatively speaking to CSGO on release. There's some problems, the problems are far less severe than CSGO the first couple years before they worked out tactile recoil and all that thanks to the Whisenhunt tapes. Stuff feels kinda interpy at times when you die behind a wall but it's nothing new. When games used to feel super crisp for your shots back in the day there were these same interp problems and no reg calls; shooting feels better to me.

In the not so distant future Doto 17 will be featured on ESPN's "the Ocho" right between Baseketball and Dodgeball. Dads will be proud of their sons for being exceptional contenders, and moms will still wish they were doctors or lawyers.

Universities will have eSports teams, with scholorships awarded to exceptional players for major online tournaments. Representation of their schools higher education platforms will be displayed through their local public access channels, where up and coming analysts and commentators will be discovered through youtube. Journalists of network television will struggle to decipher common gamer language, enough to incriminate a social scene they do not understand, to convince the remaining majority of society that gaming is still not a valid form of entertainment.

The Fox network will have several reality shows about gaming, including gamer houses and the drama unfolding around roster changes, the hardship of making time for life partners, and the introverts social life to tap into the drama demographic.

The Video Game Awards will continue to be awkward, dwarfed by the popularity of the eHall of Fame.

This movie is great. The struggle of gaming becoming a socially acceptable form of entertainment in is real. Many sacrifices will be made along the journey, this is proof of that. It will be a slow process to even become parallel with the current entertainment industry as it is now, because virtually *anyone* can be a gamer. We have all witnessed how hungry the current industry is to maintain their power, with their attempts at regulation of public space on the internet. Good luck! I would love to see production quality and investments towards competitive gaming rival blockbuster movies, journalism, and sporting events in my lifetime. :D
