I would recommend this game to other players because the rouge-lite loop is fun, the movement can be satisfying, and the build-crafting for the various skills feels frustrating and rewarding at the same time.

I would however not recommend getting this game at this moment...
Main reason being frequent crashes to desktop.
Secondary reasons being a poor general user Interface and soundscape that negatively affects accessibility.
Tertiary reasons consisting of a cumulative number of minor issues and arbitrary gripes, ranging from incomplete control//key customization, and codex/guide entries, to long distance traversal feeling empty, and wait times for menus or in game "cutscenes" feeling repetitive and immersion breaking to the gameplay.

My thoughts are overall that the game needs more time to be fleshed out, it has a distinct "Early Access" feel to it that'll likely sour the experience of most that play it at its current state. It has potential to offer a lot as a more casual rouge-lite, but not without TLC, which the developers has the potential to give based on my experience leading up to this release.
I am cautiously optimistic about the future, but not confident to call it a 1.0 release.

Destiny 2 is a game with a journey, it has seen many different metas for its PVP and PVE modes alike, gear has had the chance to both be relevant and irrelevant throughout their time.
This journey by accounts of the developers has only been part of it, and will continue to expand, but at a cost of old content not always being present.

Pros:
Political
Fun combat
Very little Gore
Diverse Community
Expansive gameplay
Evolving game and gameplay
_
Cons:
Evolving game and gameplay
Few Accessibility features
Lack of guidance
_
One of it's strongest features is the expansive, and ever growing gameplay that sees different builds get different amount of showlight. It does however also become a weakness it suffers from, since there is an ever changing beat to the game, it easily get's confusing and overwhelming to jump into for your first time or recurring times with extended breaks.
There is no cohesive guidance system that shows you what to do, it relies heavily on text and throwing you into activities with highly inaccessible timed messages at the edge of your periphery to give you hints to any mechanics of the activity.

Despite that rant, it's a wonderful thing for experienced and adventurous players overall, allowing you to explore the depth of the world with a chance to constantly update any biases you may have to weapons, abilities or even mechanics in the game.
_
I would gladly go through the adventure of starting this game from zero again. Even if it'd be a different game now than when I started playing it.

A game I've spent a few hours in, and for good reason, the modding is very accessible, the survival aspect is there but short and sweet, the crafting is good but not perfect, and playing with your friends really add to everything... even when you argue over how your otters should be treated, lol

...and then it goes deeper, there's a lore, but it might just be slightly on the harder side accessibility wise, a lot of pure reading with not enough options to make the reading easier, luckily you can play it without working on the lore.

A fun game, that is simple yet with something you can delve deeper into
