The negative reviews are mostly a result of the anti-cheat, but the experience itself surpasses Dirt Rally 2.0 in variety, physics, car handling and FFB. Traction has never felt as amazing and asphalt roads are perfected. You will enjoy the unique surfaces, too, of snow, gravel and asphalt - wet or dry - as distinct experiences to control a raging rally car - each vehicle having an individually designed feel to manage. The combined experience of WRC '23 and '24 are absolutely worth this purchase - it's the best rally framework since RBR and a simple download without the EA app or anything.

Early Access Review
Why did they remove the extensive and fun customisation system which was a pleasure to earn? Greed?

ICBM 1 was a remarkable experience of tension - where to invest into first strike capabilities, but also how to prepare defences as deterrence. Simultaneously, as during the Cold War - there's an ongoing fear of the opponent's research and manufacturing: how they could be in an advantageous position to commit to a devastating first strike. The perpetual question is - when is the opportune time to escalate and strike, or is it... as in reality... always going to be a mutual disaster? It's fantastic to have such a geopolitical conundrum emulated here! Do you invest in a stealthy naval fleet with cruiser/submarine nukes or a flexible aerial force with air-launched nukes? Tracked mobile launchers to not be easily tracked and targeted as silos? Maybe an extensive network of hardened silos to endure any preemptive attacks and ensure retaliation? Perhaps extremely advanced anti-ballistic missile sites to defensively posture?

ICBM 2 takes all the best mods of 1 and incorporates those into 2 for a much greater variety and scale from the more streamlined (available as Blitz mode, sometimes superior as with DEFCON) predecessor - conventional warfare, biological/chemical weapons, deeper research of nuclear weapon types/sizes, satellites and usual missile technologies. These additions are also fantastic for geopolitical roleplay, emergent gameplay and narrative scenarios - it doesn't inherently have to be competitive and the experience itself offers something more unique than the usual wargame emphasis on tank/mechanized warfare at an operational level.

If you want a something like Command Modern Operations and Sea Power without the excessive detail to micromanagement/scripting, whilst also having a serious focus on weapons of mass destruction as the ultimate doomsday escalation, THIS IS FOR YOU as a grand strategy of the missile age!

The best tower defence experience of all time - nothing compares with the intensity of an overwhelming blob, fun physics and the kind of planning (or adaptation) with a variety of meaningful units.

It's Death Note - something I never imagined being adapted into a GAME - perfectly translated to the social deduction party game genre: very consistent to the theme of thrilling mind games! Awash with fan service in the icons, typography, mechanics, locations, emoji and puppet avatars, it's a respectable and faithful Death Note version of Mafia for fans of the manga/anime! For us fans after over a decade, it's essential to display loyalty and love - cheap for such a license and a wonderful tribute to the franchise which nobody ever imagined would happen. It will not disappoint!

Although there are a few fundamental technical faults which need an urgent HOTFIX, and they've at least been acknowledged to prove the developers will completely polish the experience, I'm very satisfied with this overall as a Death Note fan. Furthermore, once there's a sale, I think the mechanics and balance are sufficient to please any anime fan or people into the social deduction genre! I only hope the developers will resolve the technical faults, however, as the core experience is there!

The level of variety is amazing - their long support has proved worthwhile for any newcomer. Over 25 spirits! That's right - 30! Combine that with mechanics which perfectly capture the feel of being a GHOSTBUSTER or a GHOST causing mischief, interjected into a hysterical prop hunt revolving around charming map designs, this is an incredible experience which has been awfully overlooked. This is probably up there with Evil Dead and TCM for recent asymmetrical MP which nails the atmosphere equally to the fun gameplay.

Fun autobattler where positioning, upgrades and compositions offer a tremendous depth.

Whilst World strove to be more gritty and grounded, whereas it's arguably more methodical along with seriously consistent for a full package, Rise opted to be more chaotically spontaneous - frenzied combat from an intense pace of speedy combos, varied combat styles of each weapon from a switchable core ability, massive mobility from a grapple hook to swing anywhere to enhance the aforementioned pace, a strong Japanese aesthetic with an abundance of charm to humour and a pure emphasis on the hunt over any other matters (such as farming as preparation or even tracking the monster). This is MH in a raw form and refined for upbeat combat, but it retains all the best RPG elements without those being tedious or confusing.

World has amazing level design, tactical depth to slower combat and immersive ecosystems, but Rise presents an exciting alternative - swift and lively combat in a uniquely vivid world themed around Japanese culture blended into Polynesian motifs. Personally, I much prefer the overall atmosphere over the more industrial and steampunk feel of World - the latter are done much more in Western culture to be a little redundant.

Great environments full of immersive detail which isn't mundane, so atmospheric and spooky as a gothic horror; first chapter is pure brilliance of traditional puzzle solving in survival horror. You have to learn the annoying mini-games and know to avoid instant deaths from interactables, but there's an easy mode /at least/ for this to not be the ultimate destruction of any enjoyment.

For me, I'm only having bots in the lobbies and so the purchase was pointless, but I love the theme and mechanics. Play do anything to attract a playerbase!
