The game can easily compete with its main competitor the Guild series and is even better than the Guild 3. The business systems are more refined and the game feels more fleshed out. While there are areas that can still be improved, the dev actively listens to the community, engages in the steam discussions and accepts suggestions, so I have no doubt in the future of this game.

This game inspired me to grab my AK and leave my house for once.

The devs are racists that force their employees trough political indoctrination. Don't support such devs. Politics is more important for them than their game, which hasn't really evolved since release.

This game is certainly worth the labor of love award more than any other. The devs have been developing it for decades, and it can still be downloaded for free from the official website.

It is a decent game, but a terrible business simulation. If you want to buy it for the business aspect, get port royal 3 instead.

The airship combat is fun (and much more present than the trading), airship customization is fun, the story is fun and the characters are well designed (even tough one of them is annoying).

The business aspect of the game could be good, but it is lacking crucial features like auto sell (which is wired because there is auto buy), it lacks the ability to tell your transport ships to carry goods until you have a certain quantity in the warehouse, it also lacks UI that tells you how much profit you have made over the past day/in total, or a feature that shows you how much that product cost you to buy/produce. Supply and demand also seem to be static, meaning flooding a market doesn't seem to be possible and the same trade routes will always be profitable no matter how many goods you sell at once. The consequence is micromanagement hell. If you aren't careful your warehouses will be flooded either by your transports or your tier 1 production buildings, which will then block production until you fix it manually. Trading in general seems to be an afterthought, and the story the main focus.

The world is also not dynamic. Patrols, traders and pirates won't fight each other, and it seems that they also won't attack your cargo ships (which are invisible in the world and only move goods from warehouse to warehouse).

The graphics are also not great, but the character portraits look good, and the world can look decent.

It pains me to write this review, because I want the game to succeed, but at the same time I can't accept the way development is handled.

This game just recently released its 1.0 version after a long silence. It is not a 1.0 tough, if anything it is shortly before it should have been green lit for early access. The game still lacks many basic features like demolishing buildings and reassigning settlers to different houses, not to mention families. The game is also filled with bugs and balance issues, the first person mode is completely unfinished and plays third person animations that cause the body to clip trough the camera, the gun play is bad, NPCs lack sound effects, the balancing needs work and immersion features are lacking. Also please find another solution for picking up furniture. It is not necessary to have the pickup button displayed all the time while looking at the piece of furniture, and it probably souldn't be the F key, I can't say how often I picket up furniture by accident.

It seems like the devs forgot that 1.0 is supposed to be a finished product, not early access release. At its current stage the game needs at least another year before it can be called 1.0.

My kingdom was invaded by arab drug addict refugees and I had to sell them into slavery in order to not collapse.

10/10, would solve the European refugee crisis again.

Great game

The game doesnt deserve the bad rating. It had a bad release, but the devs updated it over years and its now in a very good state.

I am enjoying this one.

You play as multiple teens who hitchhike to the border and try to illegally cross it to escape a norh korea inspired dictatorship.
On the way you have to manage your energy, make decisions and try to not get yourself arrested or killed.

The story of the game is told trough encounters, where you meet a cast of characters at different stages of their own stories. They might just talk to you, play games and hang out with you, demand help from you or even try to kill you. With each encounter you learn more about those characters and their story.

The game looks great, and has great music as well as many details. All of this creates great immersion and complements the interesting setting and story.

I can clearly recommend this one.
