not bad all in all
But it feels very proof-of-concept-y, which it probably is.
Buying stuff (ingame) you have to guess at what it does (only told after purchase) is something I always disliked.
I wish there were more room types besides "empty", "enemy gauntlet" and boss. The last level/ship having like 5 waves each room was annoying
Also, dunno if it's a bug or not, but my first playthrough the ships weapon did 1 damage in the second level, where enemy ships already have multiple phases. Took forever to defeat a ship. On my second playthrough, the ships gun did 3 damage.

having different team member do different things by default (not only after upgrades) would be welcome. One gredanier (slower, more damage), one sniper that autotargets enemies not on screen and so on.
Also, a way to heal without the glove pickup.

Very nice game. Imagine the climbing parts of, say, Tomb Raider.
Could have used a few more puzzles but still, quite nice and atmospheric.
Hope the students that made this game go far.
If you made a game just like this, but with more puzzles (and also puzzles that have nothing to do with climbing or finding hidden stuff) and ten times as long, and added a story, I'm sure you could sell that easily. You have the groundwork already, get to it!

Oh and because I was stuck for a log time in the third level, the electric wire tutorial could use a rework. I thought you had to attach the wire to the start and the finish and then touch the now powered pillar switch(es). This works fine - because you still have the cable attached to you - until somewhere in the third level, where the pillar switches were close to the power source but far away from the end point so you didn't have enough slack to go back to the pillars.
For anyone else stuck: You don't have to touch the pillar switches at all, instead you have to power them by having the electrified rope near them. So just weave your way through them so the cable touches them (or anchor your cable next to them) on the way to the end point.

if the line tutorial thingy was in a square shape where the end point and the power source are opposite each other and the two other square corners were the switches, you would quickly figure it out because you'd have to weave the cable to have both switches powered at the same time, and you'd be unlikely to do it on accident because there's a direct wasy between power source and endpoint

If you played car mechanic simulator, it is similar, except only the engine and very select parts of the plane can actually be interacted with.
It's not the best mechanic simulator I played by quite a bit, but I feel like it doesn't deserve a "Mostly Negative".
I feel the bad reviews come mostly from the last two planes, which are really bad and I recommend stop playing as soon as you reach the Blenheim, but the 4 planes before it were nice.

It is very monotonous, that's true. Many tasks you have to do for nearly every mission waste so much time.
For example, refueling. Stand at the refueling station, select insert hose, wait until the hose flew to the tank cap, fill the tank, then select extract hose and wait until it flew all the way back. Kinda annoying at first, but it takes just around 5 seconds to fly to the tank. Then you get the second plane with 4 separate tanks and every mission has you refueling all of them. But it could be worse, from what I could piece together (and from the tutorial messages ingame), it was way worse at first, where the hose would not just magically fly to the fuel tank, but you actually had to unscrew the cap and drag the hose along manually.
Same for oil, same for coolant with later birds.
Also note this is abandonware. There are a few old standing bugs that were never fixed and will never be fixed.
Aparently they just exited early access without actually improving it and that is the reason for the awful reviews. But I can't attest to that, I didn't witness it, it just sounds like that from other reviews.

But I still am kinda amazed at how faithful they were. At least for my untrained eye. When it wanted me to refuel coolant in the spitfire, I searched and searched and couldn't find where to do that. I googled and found a video about the real spitfire. "Spitfire Mk V – The Cooling System" by UK Aircraft Explored. And it was exactly where it was in the real one, and the engine looked quite the same as well.
I guess that should be expected, but it still amazed me how it wasn't dumbed down. Or dumbed down more, I'm no mechanic but I'm sure other parts of the engine were, but still.

The base game is great.
I have no idea why but it just feels so satisfying.
Don't try to perfect it tho, the dev loves to add new achievements to DLC - and the DLC aren't worth it.
I didn't bother to get all of em, but I got the spongebob one and it had some nice jokes but was mostly tedious, and from the reviews, the others were even more so.

So.. get it for a relaxing and rewarding powerwashing experience, don't get the DLC and don't bother with achievements.
Also, google "Powerwash Simulator Timelapse Exporter" if you wanna share your timelapses with friends. Made by yours truly

The game itself is not bad. It's quite long and the story is a bit bare bones and cliché but serviceable, the locations you go to are quite varied. The charactrs are interesting with the exception of the player character.
You play a piece of paper. That would be fine if we could scribble on it (decide ourselves how conversations go) but we can't. Instead it's just a soulless husk. Here's an example. There's a knight. He often tries to stop you, imprison you, whenever you meet him, he's an adversary. Then way later you meet him again by surprise.. And instead of the PC drawing his sword and being aggressive.. He just stares with absolutely no expression, just accepts without question or reluctance that yeah, you're allies now (the kicker, that knight is still a total jerk to you, instead of apologizing). Stuff like that is constant in this game. All other characters actually have, well, character. But the PC.. Someone is nice? Emotionless stare. Someone is a douche? Emotionless stare. Someone is agressive? Emotionless stare. He has but one expression. Ô.Ô

Then comes another big issue.
This is in the top ten of the worst ports I have ever had the displeasure to play. Japanese game sucking at ports is a meme by now and this is another example. Oh it has mouse support.. but only and exclusively for camera movement (and click for default-ok-button), no menu selections or anything.

I also feel misled by the store page. You'd think from the screenshots and the video that you could freely switch between 3D and 2D, you can't, you can only switch in churches, not on the fly.

Oh and the battles? You may think "oh, they included your normal action fights in the 3D mode", as I did, because it looked like the fights in, say, Ys or Tales of Berseria, instead of the usual look of turn based interfaces. They didn't. 3D battles are also completely turn based. You can run around on your turn but that changes absolutely nothing, the enemy will hit you either way.And you fiight using the arrow keys anyway, so running around with WASD and mouse takes your hands away from the keys you must use. Because, once again, you can't actually click the menu entries.

I can already hear the people going "uSe CoNtRoLlEr". I probably will next time I go back at it, maybe, but supporting the default peripherals on PC is not too much to ask for a game sold on PC. You wouldn't go "you stupid, use keyboard and mouse" for a game on PS5 that had awful controller support. And you're much more likely to actually have a $5 mouse in the house as a console player than you are having a $50 controller as a PC player.
Besides, controllers give me cramps.

so yeah, if you love using controllers and don't mind a play-by-the-numbers story, get this on sale. Not at full price, such a shoddy port is an insult, and should not be rewarded.

Upvote just for support. I'm glad to support rebellious games.
But really, they laid it on way too thick. No subtlety at all. It's like twitter wrote this game, but unlike recent Wolfenstein, it's the other side of twitter.
So yeah, I'm just half an hour in, but so far it doesn't look too good, upvote is merely to show support for stuff that goes against "the message"

Update: yeah gameplay is solid, but that game will not age well. I mean, there are enemies with wojack faces running around.

But hey, it's fun to play. And the game is banned in germany, so that's another reason to try it.

I was reluctant at first.
I nearly left a bad review in the first half hour of playing. It looked like it was just a visual novel that used a featureless pseudo-RPG as traversal mechanics because that game borbards you with walls of text early on.
it is still half a VN, because the amount of text is overwhelming.. But the RPG part may not be the most intricate one I've ever seen, but it is there and is not as simple as it first seemed. You have all the building blocks for an rpg, strengths, weaknesses, abilities, etc.
So now I can say, while it's more VN than I would have wanted (VNs bore me, which is why my playtime is not representative, I went away reading a book or surfing the web with the game in the background some times), all in all it's mostly really an RPG.

The story.. I'm not yet finished, but so far it's not bad. Some parts with Kath even moved me, tho I mostly don't like her.

Visually it's a breath of fresh air for prn games. Either you get very janky 3d, VNs or you get rpgmaker. A 2.5D game, that's new, and I welcome that

now.. finishing thoughts...
if nonconsentual stuff freaks you out, stay away. There's not too much of it, but some scenes are there.
besides that, I can recommend this game. It feels llike a game first, prn second, which is always what I prefer. Also while my playtime is deceiving for reasons mentioned above, it's still plenty of content.
Still, I'm cheap, I don't feel it's worth 45 bucks. I got it on a sale and recommend you do the same.
But it's well worth ~ $20, maybe even 30, which is not something I'd say for most ♥♥♥♥ games.
But if they wanted 30+ they should have made a demo, which they didn't, because no matter how many glowing reviews, I woudn't believe a prn game was worth it

Fun little thing.
Basically an open world fückathon.
I love the humor, it makes fun of everything and everyone.
If you are the type to clutch your pearls at offensive jokes, you better give this one a pass.
But expect boatloads of jank. I mean, it starts at the very intro cutscene, with a girl with dead eyes staring straight ahead instead of looking at who she's talking to, and it doesn't end there.

But I nearly downvoted it because of the final mission. After a few tries, I didn't bothered to complete it. Basically.. Imagine 10 enemies ganging up on you, stunlocking you, each of which have super moves that previously just minibosses (that you faced 1 on 1) had. So basicaslly your only chance is to buy 200 mushrooms and 400 beers, first gives you a mass pushback superpower and second gives you invincibility, and then pop a shroom, spam the bottle attack, pray the enemies don't set you on fire or daze you by the time the shroom power runs out, rinse repeat.
That is the kind of mission I'd just go "screw it", get a trainer and go one-hit-kill, simply to see the ending. Sadly, no trainer that works with the current version seems to exist.

I really didn't want to downvote this but seriously, one of the girls basically barfs whenever you ask her on a date and all but 2 (which are already 2/5, there aren't many) are unlikeable. You'd think with this small a cast they at least would make the girls not total ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥.
gameplay wise it's a grindfest. You don't really stand much chance later on unless you upgraded your stuff (lots of grinding) or got her ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ (lots of grinding).
The difficulty constantly feels like being subject to the rngods with no real dependence wheter you do good or not - with certain loss if you didn't get very lucky or grinded to upgrade.
It's really not all that fun and what you get in return are some.. I'm sorry, subpar h-scenes. A few look good, but many feel half-assed

This game isn't particularily expensive and you get what you pay for

This game is pretty fun, the story is interesting. I like the characters.
Tho I wouldn't laud it as the best game ever as some others did. Not even the best Tales game I played and I played only one other one :D
I wish there was less walking around, or that you could sprint at least, but alas. About halfway through you unlock a hoverboard - that is like 10-20% faster than running, not helping much.
Velvet is a great character.

If you love playing with a gamepad, you can skip the rest.

But all hrough playing, you always get hit by how bad a port it is. It runs fine, no crashes for me, not a bad port performance wise, but a bad port UI/handling wise.
Western games often have bad ports, but to find the truly awful ones, you have to look eastwards.
People will just go "UsE a CoNtRoLlEr" but I despise that excuse. Imagine you put a game in your playstation but to actually play it properly, you have to buy a $50 keyboard adapter (yes, keyboards come cheaper, controllers don't) that wouldn't actually be needed if the devs weren't lazy.
Just as an example, the map. Maps are always a low key for bad ports, because it's a purely UI situation. You can't click and drag the map or move it in any way but IJKL keys that aren't used anywhere else in the game. You can't click on the big symbols on the map. You can't use anything but a keyboard key to switch between local and world map. Best you can do is use the mouse to select from a list of destinations.
Or in a fight. You use WASD to run around. You use the mouse to look around. And you use the arrow keys to attack. This one is at least somewhat remedied - The game doesn't tell you until you open the "controls" screen while already in a battle (normal control screen or the control settings doesn't tell you) that you can use (right)click and shift-click instea dof arrows. Now that klick and right click does something is pretty obvious by just trying, but that you can use shift as a modifier isn't, and which of the skill combinations you set it uses isn't, because on the "Arte" (Skill) screen you only see the arrow keys.
How hard would i have been to just make two sets of skills for left/right button that you could switch using the mouse wheel? But that would probably have cost a single developer half a day.
There are countless of other examples like this.
Well I guess it could be worse, at least you can look around with the mouse. I played JRPGs where even that didn't work.

I long for the day where PC players finally realize that they don't have to defend corporations that refuse to spend a week more on ports just so the UI properly works. I expect comments from people complaining that I complained
