theres a lot of online features integrated in this game. they are advertised as a major feature. none of them work anymore. granted they took the game off sale, the game currently sucks as it is missing many core features integrated in the game and advertised.

if you have this game on your steam account you are king but it really is just not worth installing, instead pay more money for a version of the same dang game that actually works. go on paypig.

they forgot to finish the second and third acts of the game.

firmly fits into the pantheon of terrible role playing games, for a quick bulletpoint list:
-no buildcraft, each class has an extremely limited set of abilities leaving near 0 choice, and you can swap any character to any class virtually whenever you feel like it
-no interesting loot/gear, each classes equipment just follows a line starting from bad starting gear to the final, strongest item of that type: there is no interesting itemisation or anything to look forward to finding
-you do not affect the world around you, nobody cares that you are there, quests are in very short supply and end the exact same way, with no choices or options to do things differently or "your way"

its very very hard to even call this game an RPG but it has swords and you can level up, so I assume people wont even think about it and just call it an RPG, so if it is one, it is one of the absolute worst, shovelware RPGs made with flipping unity assets put as much effort into their RPG aspects as dragons dogma 2 does. it was an immense disappointment.


its fun if you like action games. if you are looking for an RPG its a good example of what not to do, which is to say, leave out RPG mechanics completely and make a button mashing action game.

no chao garden, it sucks.

it looks like sonic, it tastes like sonic, but it doesnt feel or sound like sonic.

too many changes to the basic mechanics of the games, throwing off seasoned players. missing music, which can admittedly be modded in very easily, still is so strange considering what this package advertises itself as.

knuckles in every game as well as the new character amy is a fun touch, but knuckles had been modded into 1 and CD for years, and amy doesnt bring enough to the table to warrant the butchering of such classic titles.

in this brief review i feel ive said enough without any sort of deep technical analysis, or fundamental examination of whats on offer here, but then i compare myself to Sonic Origins, who fails to include any options in the pause menu. sound glitches? controller not responding? if you hoped to find answers by pausing and looking for options, fret not; sega didnt include an options menu in the pause menu. this review has more thought put into it than at least the UI.

id say buy the originals, but you cant, so just pirate them. avoid this collection. theyre just not the exact same games, no cool new features will change that.

they added the disabled emblem the following month.

its good but the narrator almost kills it. i have eyes i can see.

the new civs are cool, and the new campaigns are nice and long, but im not sure what warrants the price hike in this one compared to previous expansions. it has less new content than some others but it is more expensive..
