Feels genuinely like none of the issues with Serious Sam 3 were addressed. Smoke still clogs everything for high graphics, reloading is still a thing, any element beyond gameplay is still goofy bad. Any title that costs less than this is worth your time more.

I don't know how such a haphazard team with such disregard for basic design managed to put such a solid product together, maybe they were attempting to recreate the chaos of the original id, but nothing about the way their staff is treated warrants the executives receiving money. Mick Gordon is only the beginning, you can clearly see the mounds of crunch and compromise being imposed on the staff through the pathetic output of skin recolors (let alone new skins) and the horrendous quality of The Ancient Gods Part II. Something HUGE needs to change.

Mission 18 is completely unbeatable because one of the dragons gets stuck in the ground far out of bounds. All the recolors are fine, but most of what has been in these missions so far feels like bargain bin level editor EDF.

Imagine an engine that can both run a troop system full of commands and different squad members, AND a one on one kaiju vs. Mech battle in the same game. That's the flexibility of EDF 4.1

Many people have said that this is one of those "So bad it's good" games, but I couldn't disagree more. Sure the dialogue is absolutely abysmal at points, but when it comes to how the game plays, it hardly matters, and more feels like watching a poorly dubbed anime (with the whole translation thing basically making it exactly that). EDF's trick is throwing you in with a load of nonsensical enemies to shoot. The graphics, plotline, and previously mentioned dialogue aren't anything revolutionary, but gunning down 100s of giant insects in one of the 89 available missions is an amazing feeling. EDF is all about scale. Those giant transport ships dropping in more enemies, they're not in the skybox, they're tangible, you can hit them, you can land on them. Having something that isn't just scenery and is actually interactable is an amazing relief from what most games of the like do nowadays with ships and the like.

tl;dr: the ♥♥♥♥ is big and you can blow it up, buy it

WARNING, DO NOT USE THE IN GAME CONSOLE, IT CORRUPTS THE FILE THAT USE IT IN AND RENDERS YOUR COPY USELESS, I MADE THIS MISTAKE AND HAD TO DELETE ALL MY PROGRESS. THIS IS LITERALLY MY ONLY COMPLAINT FOR THE GAME, AND ITS SOMETHING THAT SHOULD BE EASILY FIXABLE.

This. Is. The. Best.

This release takes every insult that said this game was going to be like Call of Duty and shoves it up the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ of the critics so far that they can repeat those insults. This game feels so much like doom that it is uncany, but it doesn't feel too out of place from any modern shooters at the same time.

Guns work great, and are definitely balanced for the areas

Enemy AI is incredible for a game like this, it actually feels like you're fighting quick demons

Maps are beautiful, and set up incredibly for the situation

Secrets aren't as hellishly hidden (pun intended) as Doom 3

This game is PUNISHINGLY HARD, if you play on nightmare, you'll need a doctor to sew the inside of your ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ back up

Story is optional, and backstory isn't constantly being shoved down your throat

No ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ with voicechat in campaign (always a plus)

If you haven't played the original, I suggest you at least try it, there's a million ways to get free copies. Otherwise, this game is a must for anyone of any nature.

A story of my experience.
>Just entered act III or whatever, the one with the jungle
>Doing retarded escort mission
>Escortee walks straight into a horde of zombies
>Zombie throws a knife
>Knife hits escortee right between the eyes
>Escortee falls flat on her ass
>Pause game
>Laugh uncontrolably for 12 minutes
>Unpause game
>Escortee gets up, completely fine
>Thug decks her in the face and she goes airborne
>Escortee slams into a tree and dies
>"Mission Failed"
>Laugh uncontrolably for another 12 minutes

12/10 would AI again

But in all seriousness, this game is one of the most impressive zombie survival games on the market. The graphics are breathtaking, and the layout of the overworld looks like a real place, and this game does realism very well. The missions you're sent on are things that would actually happen in an apocalypse and the people have realistic personalities (too bad they all share the same face model.). The combat is superb at what it does, it gives you power to fight, but you can still be overwhelmed and killed if you try to do some left 4 dead ♥♥♥♥. The only problems with this game that I can find are the escort missions (see the above) and the story. I didn't buy this game for some steryotype zombie story though, I bought it because you get guns with ELECTRIC BULLETS.

Seriously, you need this piece of majesty.

Team Fortress 2 is probably one of the most creative multiplayer FPS games that ever existed. Its weapon crafting system is truly innovative for a game of its type and the amount of customization is crazy.
