A seemingly simple premise that has been realized with much care and detail, Star Trucker feels exactly how you would imagine.
While the gameplay loop is extremely repetitive (hauling cargo to your destination), the game somehow manages to make it fun and add enough little mechanics to the process so that you constantly have to worry about other things too.
The game tends to lean in the arcade direction (sounds in space, trucks looking like road trucks, etc.) but one aspect that feels very realistic is the penalty system.
If you don't fly carefully the game can very quickly become very difficult because of the financial penalties, that are hard to recover from at least early on.
This has been addressed by the developer though and might be tweaked.

Star Trucker feels like the perfect space delivery driver fantasy, with enough subsystems to give it some extra depth.
