Being a 3D platformer, a puzzle game, and a walking simulator all bundled together, NaissanceE is a beyond breathtaking experience that'll make you feel dread, suspense, fear, confusion, and internal solace, sometimes all at once. There are no jumpscares, no explicit horror themes in the traditional sense. Just you, a colossal megastructure trillions of times larger than anything humankind can even dream of, and the light just barely holding your hand through it all.

As someone with megalophobia, playing NaissanceE often tested my own inner will. In moments where I was forced to take a plunge into endless depths, face structures millions of times beyond human scale, cross vast chasms on a narrow bridge, or ascend staircases that seemingly go on forever, I had no choice but to press on. I had to know what was on the other side.

Despite the basic graphics on a surface level, the game's use of visuals and scale are immensely captivating. Albeit a very much linear and short experience, taking me only 4.5 hours to finish, its truly a game I will remember forever due to its presentation, soundtrack, and the pure way it made me feel. This especially considering I share a name with the playable character, Lucy, I felt a very real connection to who I was controlling, and at times, what I was running from.

Undeniably, NaissanceE is a game I will look back to as an experience that shaped my own personal self-discovery.
