Good.

This game is still very solid for the times and contains a great story as the Soviets. I enjoyed all the campaigns thoroughly albeit some of the stealth missions were horrible.

okay, i was having a lovely time. the voice acting's great and all, but ive been totally fooled by the game's age and could not progress past the librarian. love the atmosphere and all, but this was sad to deal with

While it lacks the modular-ability of its current successor, ARMA 3, ARMA: Gold Edition has the same gameplay with an editor where you could make battles. It is fundamentally the same game in spite of its graphics. If you have an old PC and wish to get the ARMA experience, then get this game. Although, the multiplayer is practically dead, it's still pretty fun making great battles.

A game with a deep story that I wish could be completed as a certain part is constantly hyped with the main protagonist promising to get it back, but there is no way to get it back yet. I really hope there's an expansion or update that comes to finish this great story. The combat's amazing and intriguing although, a bit annoying for new players like me. The gameplay is very developed with many side quests you can do. I truly adore this game and might replay it later.
