As with most 4X games, It's takes time and DLCs to really flesh out the experience. One year in Humankind's new DLC does add enough changes to make gameplay interesting.
The way the development team has dealt with balance issues between different cultures are also fair and sensible for a 4X.
Will this game continue to age well with future patches and expansions, only time can tell.
At this point in time, it is definitely worth picking up and trying it out.

It's good now, Really good

One of the best atmospheric turn based games I've ever seen that Funcom has published in recent years. Mutant Year Zero: Road to Eden is an exceptional take on the tactical RPG and the addition of a stealth system certainly sets it apart from the crowd. Both genres blend together in a way that’s satisfying, challenging and well designed, while its interesting world characters and engaging, well-written narrative drives the player forward.
Played this first on the PS4 and it was good enough to make me get it on PC to play again in the future.

One of the best world war 2 / grand strategy sims in the market.
Play as germany, avoid the mistake of fighting a war on two fronts and conquer the world, check.
Play as the british raj, break away and try survive the war against japan, check.
Play as australia, build a navy to challenge japan in the pacific, check.
Play as czechoslovakia, defend the sudetenland in september 1938 and holdout till the world war breaks out, check.

Many historical and alt-history options, units and customisations give the game a depth of play that you would be hard pressed to really find elsewhere.

It does have a very steep learning curve, but with abit of practice, or a match or two in multiplayer, it will be fairly easy for a newcomer to enjoy this as well. Easy to learn, hard to master.

Have been playing this for quite awhile now, amazing game, their G2G platform involves us players, and we get updates on the progress of the game via their dev blogs.
Endless Legend has been growing, with each new expansion adding so much more content and depth to gameplay.
Get the Endless Legend collection while its avalible, definately value for money.
This is such a beautiful game, and it will only get better in time to come.

Still holds true till today

Updating in progress, The studio could have easily gotten away with charging more for such an expansion (Looking at you Firaxis and how you sometimes overpriced the Civ expansions ) considering how much new content is going into the game, and yet is only going to cost so little.

Not to mention so many community suggestions and feedback was taken into account and implemented in the new expansion.

Really looking forward to how the Endless Legend series will grow. Have high hopes for this one.

An very Solid turn based stratergy game from Sid Meier.
Originally got the gold Edition of this with Gods and Kings expansion and hads loads of fun running matchs with my mates via LAN and spend some time doing multiplayer with my gaming group

Be warned i usually take a long time to complete a game in normal time speed setting so make sure you have at least afew hours to play, if you are doing multiplayer make sure your group is able to have a set date to continue where you guys left off.

If possible, buy the Brave New World expansion, the content added really makes the entire Civ game more well rounded (less focus on early rushes and more on actually building a civ)

One of the most beautiful RTS 4X games that I have played in a while.
It's like a cross between Starcraft and Civilistation, but in SPACE! :p

Really fun game to play,be warned though, an average "short" match when i play usually lasts for 4 hours, so you know playing this will result in timewarps :)

Btw the DLC forbidden worlds opens up the game even more since you can further specialise your planets, do get it if you have the chance.

Just got the lastest expansion fall of the samurai ,this is a pretty solid game if you like turn based and RTS games as it has elements of both in it.
Not to mention multi player is good especially if you have friends on voice comms
