Early Access Review
Me and my friends started a server together in co-op mode. It was great. At the beginning we set up our first base in an open field and then A LUCKY SHINY DEER CAME UPON US TINY LEVEL 3 PEOPLE, and told us that was their land actually and kept attacking us every few minutes for like half an hour till it despawned. We couldnt take him down since he was level 16.

- 10/10 game (for an early access game. Hoping it keeps up good updates)

Warning: This game will immediately crash upon being launched if done through steam. You have to go into the folder housing the game’s .exe and run it from there. Personally that was enough for it to work on my end, but I have seen others have to run the game as administrator to get it to work.

World of Final Fantasy is a game that ended up surprising me quite a bit, I went into this game when it initially came out with very low expectations, I thought at most it had a chance at being a fun and harmless little side detour for the Final Fantasy franchise, and I came out of the game being pleasantly surprised. Now all these years later I have come to revisit the game (This time on PC) along with its “MAXIMA Upgrade”

The PC port of the game does have some issues, the game won’t open unless you do either of the methods that I brought up earlier and the game can be slightly unstable (I had it crash a few times) but the issues like the occasional crashing isn’t enough for me to think this is an awful port, just something I noticed that I didn’t experience nearly as much on the console release of the game.

World of Final Fantasy’s gameplay can be best described as a turn based “creature collector” JRPG, think something like Pokemon but with much more in depth mechanics that more closely resembles the classic Final Fantasy games. I think this is a formula that really works for this game, and it stands out as probably one of the better “creature collector” RPGs I’ve played.

The game’s charm really won me over from the chibi’s to the cheesy banter that goes on throughout the game. The visuals in this game can just be so adorable and full of soul, that even if you’re as cynical about chibi art styles as I am, they’ll eventually warm up to you.

World of Final Fantasy’s story can be a bit silly to start out but as the game progressed, I found myself getting more engaged with the game’s central narrative and I actually grew quite fond of the game’s characters and the surprisingly dark lore. This game is mostly really light hearted but it does have a dark underbelly to it.

Wrapping things up, World of Final Fantasy is an adorable low-stress JRPG/Pokemon-like romp through the final fantasy universe. The art, music, and gameplay are fantastic, but it's the banter and dialog that make it truly a gem for me. It is one of my favorite Final Fantasy spinoffs I’ve played. It’s just as good as I remembered and the Maxima Upgrade only adds more content for you to enjoy. 7.5/10

It is wonderful to return to Yu-Gi-Oh after all these years... until you get too high ranked. Still fun and made me need to learn to adapt to better decks, but felt much less back and forthy when I was going against meta decks (although it was still fun)
