Initially, I bought this thinking I was going to play it on the Steam Deck since I had just started FF7R on the PC. But I stopped playing that to jump back and do this. The combat is actually fairly fun (if a little repetitive), but the side stuff is lame. The graphics look good, though it's stiff since it's just a remaster. The story, if you're into it and pay attention, is pretty intriguing and emotional. I paid $25, and I think gameplay-wise it's a bit steep even on sale. Though I don't regret getting and playing it, the story is something I really enjoyed. This whole Loveless reenactment, the way Genesis, Sephiroth, Angeal, and Zack all have it come to fruition, is pretty good really. I won't forget this story. Plus you get Clouds origin story, a glimpse into who Aerith is, and a few other cameos like Tifa.

This is my first FF game besides 1&2. Idk if they all are this good yet but I'm gonna find out I think. Can't wait for Pt2 to come to Steam.

I don't get it the map sucks. The combat is repetitive. They hyped this up so much, I don't see it. Doubt I'll keep playing.

So I'm running it in Proton on Ubuntu from a NTFS Windows Drive. It runs pretty great like that on day one. My Windows is wonky no matter what I do. So Proton has saved my life. lol. This game came out the gate working great.

AS for story I can't say I just started.

I did not think Spiderman was a good game. I refunded it. This is a good game. It's still very Sony but it's Sony at their best I think.,I can't hate on it. I like it.

This game is stupid? LOL
I had to turn it down to like 85% everything to do not shamefully.
I played it 6 hours already and will play it more. I like it for when I have like 10-20 quick minutes.
The thing is for $3 or whatever it's probably about the best value for my money I've ever gotten for anything.

Edit: Ok 50 hours later. I still had to adjust the difficulty to were I like it. But this is one of my favorite games. lol. The hours are pushing up to the most played games. Which is crazy to me. It's simple yet addicting to play while I watch Podcasts and stuff,

Can't even play the game I paid $110 for because of Denuvo. This is the last game I ever buy with Denuvo. STG
Every game with Denuvo crashes my Windows then it runs on Chimera but the last update forced me to try different protons which locked me out of my own game. BS. If I could get a refund I would but it's way too late.

I got it for $20 on sale. For that I'd say definitely get it. I ended up really enjoying it. And I've enjoyed every Borderlands game.

At first I wasn't liking the gameplay as much as pretty much all the others. I've literally been playing 1, 2, the presequal, 3, then this basically back to back in order on the steam deck. This one I've started using Xreal Airs.

That said at a certain point my equipment got better and I now am really enjoying gameplay and combat. At first it was like guns were very wobbly with no accuracy..gyro was sucking from when I was popping heads in the others. The over world takes a bit to get used to and start to open up areas.

Anyway the magic replaces your skill and grenades....and idk if it's my build but yeah. My magic slaughters everyone and my guns clean up the residue....I'm using Graveborn and Clawbringer skill trees with Dire Sacrifice skill. With basically Dexterity and Intelligence only being upgraded...slaughtering. it's nuts.

My really only gripe is idk if it's the game or what. Is with the Xreal glasses the game doesn't let the resolution change from native steam deck resolution even if you change it in the OS. It's kind of weird. So you can't get the resolution right in the glasses which makes it slightly less than perfect.

I gave in last week and finally bought it. A week after TGA. I'm 15 hours in now. And I think I'm finally starting to understand combat and becoming capable of actually achieving something. Before I understood my capabilities this game starts out brutal. Once you start getting a groove it feels amazing and soo fulfilling. I'm excited for what this game is going to do in my play through. It has the potential to really be one of the best games I have ever played. Just from like depth and the satisfaction overcoming all these things brings. Just learning the systems is mind blowing because I never really played a game as complex as this and have no D&D experience. Xcom is about as close as i get.

I feel like exp is really slow with battlepass idk I've played 6 hours so what do I know. so like 90 hours to reach level 90? Or I suck
