Babygang sums it up very eloquently. I, too, have been one of the community for a long time (since 2005) and have met my best friends of 15 years in Blockland. This game taught me the values of friendship, community, and hard work. I also am a firm believer that machinima started to gain traction, very early as a concept, in the Blockland community. Blockland has seen the rise and fall of gods in the machinima community. For example, Djy1991 got his start here (the IM clan lmao) and created ICTON Entertainment and a few years of good lulz till he just disappeared. My best friend VenomAK and I have got our start here as well, and we made quite a bit of content together, with the addition of Goron, Maverick, and lots of others that are but distant memories of the ShortyShortsNet community now. I was 13 when I started playing. Now I'm nearly 28, and to say "those were the best years of my life" would be a total understatement. Also watch out for garbage people, they'll join your server and troll you/ask for admin/brickspam etc. Just ban idiots no questions asked and you'll have a palatable experience.
