The game is about 3 gigs and completely free with monetization being only used for cosmetics. You earn gold incredibly easy just by playing matches, making it a breeze to pick up a new character within a few hours of play time. The portraits for the characters are top notch, and overall it has pretty decent designs for its roster, with all your usual tropes being fulfilled (big hamster as a default goalie, punchy athletic girl as default forward, etc.).

However, where the game truly shines is in a match, which is a fantastic mixture of rocket league and battlerite (which I can see from the comments many others enjoyed, big RIP). Characters have abilities that interact in interesting ways with not only the puck (the game is like air hockey) but against your opponents as well. Mix this with a perk system that drastically juices your characters and the games become incredibly intense and fast-paced. You will get frustrated at times, due to the game really relying on playing with your team, but even when you are losing its hard to stop queuing up. Give the game a shot, especially now while the gold gain is astronomical (I have purchased all heroes and perks by the time I have posted this review, and i still have about 40k currency left over).
