Great game, lots of fun if you enjoy exploring and discovering new things. Pretty good combat, nice base building, and the survival mechanics don't get in the way

However, as of writing this review there's maybe only 40 hours of gameplay (Co-op, probably more solo).

Well worth the price right now, but maybe wait for more updates before sinking too much time into it.

Bought this game before it came out, and I regretted it when it did finally come out. However over the past year, and with mod packs like Frackin Universe, Starbound has been an absolute blast - definitely worth the money.

I was so excited for this DLC, following along with the development the entire way - I bought it without thinking twice, or even looking at the reviews. Big mistake

It's painfully uninspired, boring, adds very little, and what it does add is rehashed - sometimes literally - from things that already existed in the game. If it were free I'd say get it, but paying more than $2 for this isn't a good value.

Note that this has nothing to do with the greedier mode, the portals, or any of the other things that were supposed to make the game "harder", they were fine - tanky, boring, and tedious - but fine. My issues are with how lazy this DLC felt as a whole.

Very good game, it's what Space Engineers should be - with a lot of the same features, but a lot less buggy. It definitely lacks polish at this point though. Coasting to a stop instead of maintaining speed in space, bad handling on the motorcycle, balance issues with auto mining cores, a massive wall for tech after a certain point, and a few other little minor issues.

However, even with the issues - I've put 27 hours into the game so far, playing just about every day since I got it - and plan on playing for quite awhile longer.

A very mediocre game. It's not bad, but it's not good.

Unless you're starved for a game to play, really like vampires, or like the universe - avoid this game. To say it's unfinished is an understatement. Given another year in development, with actual QA testing it could have been good, but as it stands it's mediocre at best. Even with the fan patches the game has quite a few issues, isn't well balanced, and just feels tedious at times.

There's a lot of hype around this game, and a lot of people defend it - I thought I'd understand their devotion to the game after playing it, but... Nope. It could be that I'm indifferent to vampires in general, but I see very little value in this game - it was clearly rushed, was released too early, and/or just plain poorly executed.

I wish I could add more to the review, but honestly the only impression I'm left with after beating it, is that it killed time at the best of times, and was tedious at the worst. If I had to give it a score, it'd be 4/10. There are so many better RPGs out there, and spending your time with Vampire: The Masquerade - Bloodlines would be a waste if you aren't already a fan.

I used to love this game - even playing it before it was out on Steam, and after taking a break I decided to reinstall it. Sadly, Freejam has decided to force an anti-cheat system on you that monitors your system outside of the game. This is unacceptable from big developers, but coming from someone Freejam's size it's disgusting.

Don't bother with this game unless they get rid of this system. Preventing cheating is one thing, but stuff like this takes it to another level.

From the news post[robocraftgame.com] about the integration:
When you are using Robocraft on your PC EasyAntiCheat is monitoring the PC, analyzing the Game binaries and scanning the memory of the PC for the purpose of detecting and preventing cheating in the Game (“Purpose”). For the Purpose EasyAntiCheat is storing information regarding cheating methods used in the Game (“Data”). By installing, copying, or otherwise using this Software Product, you give your consent that EasyAntiCheat may gather, store and publish Data for the sole purpose of the Purpose

In other words - it's monitoring everything running on your system. But don't worry, they promise they'll only look for cheats!

Some more reading[robocraftgame.com]. The issue here is that they are able to examine processes running that aren't Robocraft. A privacy policy doesn't stop someone with malicious intent from gathering information on you, intercepting the data it collects, blackmailing you, etc.. This is a heavy handed approach that should not be tolerated.

The game looks great, I've heard nothing but good things about it... Problem is it installs a rootkit-style service that keeps you from closing the process using ... Anything (Even taskkill /f as admin), outside of the game itself.

This game monitors your processes using 'Ahnlab Hackshield Pro'. If you're okay with that, then by all means play it - it looks great. But for those of you who don't like the idea of a company installing a rootkit on your system that keeps you from closing processes and monitoring what you're doing, stay away.
