This game called my name when I saw it in the store. I _loved_ the pokemon franchise, but it's been sorely lacking lately - been losing interest and that's a whole 'nother can of worms. Monster catching with depth and old pixel graphics sounded like a lot of fun, figured I would buy it while it was on sale and get around to playing it whenever. Also side note, I've never really had any new games scratch my nostalgia itch for old Dragon Warrior/Quest games, which I love.

Well, when I finally did pick it up, I became instantly addicted. I'm just 13 hours in and I can already see the resounding depth and replayability and how I've barely scratched the surface with this extremely over-powered team I've put together. I'm looking forward to when I get my ♥♥♥♥ kicked in and I have to actually adjust the strategy from 'instantly blow everything up before the battle even properly starts' to 'mitigate the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ stopping me from blowing up everything and then still blow it up'.

If you're disenchanted with pokemon and love old Dragon Quest games, get this game. I don't think you'll be disappointed.
