Damn good game! It's early access but not like most of those half-cooked, broken, unplayable 'early access' games you get these days. These people have put their heart and souls into this and you can clearly see it.

Was approached by a naked centaur with his b0ner hanging out and told me that he is not into guys but he would be down to make an exception for me.

All jokes aside, Apeotheon is a little gem of a game. The story is decent, Graphics are pretty dope, music is cool and despite being a 2D game, it pretty much has all the RPG elements in it. Quests, Inventory, Crafting, Wide range of fun to use weapons and 'legendary' weapons, Weapon classes, Item durability, variety of boss battles, weapon/armor progression, Free roam, learnable skills and recipes, NPCs, Merchants, loads of carefully designed world areas, destructible environments, loot, fast travel... you name it and the game is only 400Mb. And the best part is you do not need think about those if you do not want to. Makes me think of the old times when the games actually used to be good not cookie cutter clones.

Game play is decent, the movement and controls are getting some hate but honestly it is not bad at all. Only thing that was slightly annoying was the ladders. You get used to it. I do not like 2D platformers much but this one does not feel like one when you play it, because the world is designed in way that you would not feel like it.

About the price tag. Not sure about the $15 full price but definitely worth grabbing it while it's on sale. I bought it for $4 but and that was a steal. Seriously give it a try, you'd be surprised how good the game is.

If you still did not figure it out by the overwhelming majority of the positive ratings, the game is damn good. Love Coop game and zombies? I cannot recommend you anything else. It is a 11 year old game at the time of writing but it is one of those games that never dies and the player base is still alive and active. Still makes it to the 10 - 20 top daily played games on steam stats.

Review coming in a bit too late (8 years after) but I still remember the game. Decent post apocalyptic atmosphere but the story is short. Bit of puzzle oriented with the environment and bluffing with the gun elements. The game rewards you for exploring but the game areas and gameplay could feel bland.

for 2012 where there were not too many post apocalyptic , it was a good substitute but not now. get it on a sale.

Probably one of the best ARPGs ever made at the time of writing. Fun to play both solo and with friends. Very interesting questline, characters, bosses and areas/dungeons. Character progression is nice but I advice you do a bit of a research on the classes before you picking a class or at least the secondary class. The class you play may have a huge impact on your gameplay experience and the difficulty early game.

Everything you expect from a south park game. Dark humor, nasty and gore graphics and very engaging storyline. Combat is turn based but it does not wear you down. Player skills interesting and well-thought too.

I am huge fan of the fallout franchise to a point where I even visited some of the locations of FO:NV in real life. FO:4 is not a bad game but it is a bad fallout game. Not as good as its predecessors (FO:3 or FO:NV) but it quenched my much needed fallout experience after 2009.

Graphics - Old but not an huge issue, they were using the 6 year old creation engine (updated version of the Gamebryo engine) at that time.


Notes:
+ Glowing sea is a nice touch
+ Power armor frame + pieces approach is decent
+ Settlements is a good concept but it gets repetitive to a point where you do not feel like defending/capturing anymore
- Story line is not meh and boring
- Quests/ Side quests/ Quest lines are lazily done
- NPCs do not have any character depth
- No ammo crafting
- A lot of repetition of the enemies
- Lazy gun customization
- Faction choices do not matter too much.

Also the game has been getting a lot of heat from the modding community because of the creation club. I cannot really comment on that regards as I have not done any mods for FO.

This is too cute, short and free. Looking for the second episode.

Good hack and slash with a bit of farming and character building. Real men play on deathinitive for extra macho points.

Absolutely loved the game so much that I visited quite a few landmarks in real life. Sad that the successors of the franchise didn't do well.
