This have become one of my most played games of all time. If you love ARPG's, and if you love trying to learn new mechanics in any way you can. (Forums, playing, asking people, friends, you name it.) I can heartily recommend Path of Exile. I've now spent over 1300 hours on this game and learning its content. And yet, I'm still trying to learn a little more every time I start it. There is so much content in this game, and despite that, all of it is still relatively balanced and carefully seperated, letting you focus on a few select mechanics. Or let you jump between almost all of its content.
Few games have given me as much freedom as this game have, and followed it up with content that you can do decent, but also specialise in. Almost nothing is mandatory, and almost everything is somewhat viable.

That said. In order to really get into it, you will likely need to spend money. However. I have spent less than 60$ on stuff that is a little more than cosmetic. (Upgrades to your bank) And with the price of less than a AAA title, I have had twice maybe even three times as many hours of fun and responsive gameplay, than any other AAA title I own.

If you have time to use on feeling like a godslayer, I recommend Path of Exile.

Early Access Review
Risk of Rain 2 is just good, through and through. Every character have its own unique moveset, and all of them feel both far from eachother, and yet not too far. Every item you find is usefull, if not for you, then someone in your squad. It have been a long time since I've had such a blast with friends. Picked it up and nerded out for 10+ hours straight.

You're going to die, and you're going to reset. But RoR2 pulled it off. Dying doesn't suck! Maybe you get unlucky and die after an hour and some, but then you laugh it off because the trip to that point were a blast. And you're greeted with spicy new unlocks, new characters. And each of them can completely change every run there after.

I whole heartedly recommend this, it's just thouroughly hecking good! c:

Short TL:DR at bottom

I have been surprised at how long i could play this game. I went for the 100% just after it launched, and let me tell you, 100% without guides is hard but also fun.
That said it has so much play time, the first runthrough took me 23 hours.
My first runs pros:
So fun finding everything myself
Finding strategies for faster and better movement
Exploring the very open world
Getting to learn and familiarise myself with controls and abilities.
The worlds look so amazing!!
Finding out how to defeat bosses without anything telling you what to do.

My first runs cons:
Camera controls takes a little time, sometimes i could control it but i ended up down the slope a dusin times before i got it down.
Border of map movement. (Explained. Everything and i mean everything with a little corner sticking out, has a hitbox and you can jump on it. This just becomes a little confusing, as the game just lets you, nothing pulls you back in.)
It babysits you so much through the level, which takes away some of the reason to try things out. (And then sometimes it just says spaghetti and expects you to know what the number of molecools our universe contains.)
Some of the areas/puzzles i have yet to find a logical solution to, and i still dont know how they were meant to be solved.
Some abilities have hints, which are wierd. (one hint says, be carefull using this around glass, when you the use it on a cracked glass piece nothing happens, then you use it on another piece of cracked glass and it shatters. I don't know, it just upset me a little :(.)
Some of the transformation movements are just dumb.
Enemies outside bossbattles feels like they were only put there to annoy you, they aren't hard, they just get in the way a lot.

I then decided I didn't want to have a life and did another 100% this time taking half the time.
My second runs pros:
Some powerups carry through games, and some are really usefull early on.
Movement felt so familiar and so fluid, every ability had a use, and you knew what you could use them for.
Camera control now became an ally, since more precise manuvers can be done with the camera.
Stupid unfindable collectives weren't so stupid anymore.
The pace was way better, since everything was slightly known, which in turn ruinde some of the puzzle fun.
All of the annoying cons from first run were pretty much gone.

My second runs cons:
Some of the transformation movements are just dumb. (This annoying one didn't go away.)
Missed a lot of the exploring and solving and finding really.
Missed out on looking at the beautiful worlds.
The 4th wall does not exist, and it just gets a little old a little.. very quick.
I'll admit that after playing this for 36 hours over the course of about 2 days, i think i'll take a break.

Combined pros:
Amazing visuals
Many movement options
Make camera your friend <--
Boss "strategies"
Great game time
Some adult hints
You can sometimes skip the need for abilities (this is opinion, i found it fun)
High quality, but not a single frame drop during the entire time.

Combined cons:
Sometimes too babysitting
Dont make camera your friend <--
Non boss combat feels interrupting
Very little non boss combat
Some transformation controls are terrible
Some puzzles dont seem to have a logical solution
The story is not that amazing.

Simply a fun classic, i've really enjoyed it for a lot of time, though i find that it is the mods that makes the game.
