A great addition to the Souls series and a worthy successor in every way.

Dark Souls III successfully mixes what made Dark Souls great in the first place with selected improvements from the second installment as well as some new elements like the weapon arts, Focus Points and multi-stage boss fights.

Since I had almost no problems with the summoning system and due a decent number and variety of available covenants I have to say the multiplayer aspect of Dark Souls III was the most fun I have had in a Souls game so far - both on release and after returning to it many months later.

If I had to come up with something I disliked it would be that that I really wish they would have gone with the NG+ changes similar to those from Dark Souls II (like the additional Dark Phantoms or boss battle adds) as without them it sometimes feels like the subsequent NGs offer relatively few new things to discover and, some bosses aside, can even get too easy at times.

Even so, I had a blast with Dark Souls III so I'd highly recommend it both to Souls veterans or newcomers looking for an entry point into the Souls series.
