Played for a bit with friends. Even though I think Phasmo drove a lot of market towards the ghost hunting type of game, I hate the constant comparison so I try to leave that out in consideration. (There are a lot of assets that are shared among other games though, which is understandable)
First, beyond general indie early access jank, I think it's pretty wild to put a game out (even in early access) without a tutorial. Launching it you won't even get key binding prompts to figure out how to work most things. It's a lot of guessing with trial and error.
Second, after the first few games, it was clear how hard you need to grind to get the items you actually need to figure out the ghost. If you go on beginner mode, it will take you probably 30+ games to get to level 5, especially because you can't complete objectives because you can't get the items you need. You can jump into the hardest mode and move up a little bit more by getting one objective and guessing.
Spirit box is questionable, we couldn't figure out if it was actually working or not.

Major ghost interactions are far and few in between, but the two that we saw in our five games were pretty neat. The ghost descriptions to identify them seem to be fairly accurate but still hard to determine.

Overall I think there's a lot to flesh out, but there's a lot of potential if developers keep working on it. I look forward to revisiting it in the future.
I am recommending the game for now, because I'm very hopeful for progress.

It's like a train wreck, you want to look away but you cant and eventually you get Pavlov'd into hearing chickens moan. 10/10
