The game, well what can i say, it's worthy of being the sequel to Dying Light.

The graphics are really good, but I don't think they are as good as they could be, don't get me wrong, the game looks STUNNING, when i booted it up I was amazed at some of the details, although some textures were god awful, they looked like they came from some Atari game. The way the game is optimized is also crazy, I can quite comfortably play on max settings @1080p, will leave pc specs below.

The story so far from my first playtrough is great, it's better - in my opinion - than Dying Light's. Characters had some flavour finally, after how dry Jade, Brecken and other people like civvies felt, it was a nice refreshment. I actually got emotional a few times.

Parkour was honestly FABULOUS. It was massively improved from what we had in the first game. What especially caught my eye, was the wall running, although sometimes janky, it was a great addition to our free running arsenal.

The combat felt... weird, it was really arcadey. It wasn't as free as the original game's. When you swung before, it was a FREE swing, there was no aim assist or anything, you actually could fairly well aim at what part of the body you want to hit, here, that feature was a bit more annoying, for example, you could hold a power attack, move in at someone, hit them, and quickly dash backwards to avoid getting hit. Otherwise, it felt the same, or even better than ever.

The changes made to the grappling hook were for the better in my opinion, it kind of stopped serving the purpose of a get out of jail free card. The swinging felt very linear and restricted(?), I kind of liked it,
the grappling hook slot felt, actually not pernament, because, let's not kid ourselves, how many times have you actually switched the grapple off for something else in the original? I never did.

The paraglider was a really nice addition, it felt very smooth and easy to use, I think it fit that category of really easy to learn, difficult to master - but not really, at the same time, i felt i mastered it after like, what? 5 hours of use? But who knows, we have another 5 years of support at least, so maybe some people will get even better at using it.

So, that would conclude my review of Dying Light 2. Overall impressions - great, looking forward to playing it over the next few years until we don't die of corona, global warming or war - or, who knows, maybe I'll live to play the next game. Thanks for reading through, cya.
