Story

Shadow of Mordor is aslasher action game with RPG elements. In this game you play as Talion, a ranger who has been killed and cast away in the shadow between life and death. His “self” is then melted with a powerful ringwraith and this final entity is a powerful but cursed undead creature who wanders across Middle Earth seeking revange for the murder of his family. The game has access to the source material from the movies, so the orcs are going to look ugly and twisted, just like in the movies, Sauron’s appearance is the same and so on.

Combat

Combat in this game is just awesome. It uses a free flow system, similar to the Batman series: while you are attacking an enemie, you can instantly counter attack other enemies and also jump around, fire arrows, hide in bushes and do a variety of other things. The result is a very cinematographic combat, quite epic and similar to the Lord of the Rings movies.

Movement

The movement is also great, you can easly run and climb in almost any structure or building, similar to the assassins creed series. You can also jump from higher places with your dagger over the enemy for a satisfying stealth kill.

The bad side

Game is really good and fun, shame that it’s kinda repetitive, I mean, you have two huge open world areas all filled with nothing but orcs. I guess the game would be just so much better if there was a city where you could interact with NPCs and such. Also most missions and stuff you do in the game require lots of grinding, só be prepared. But, gameplay wise, it’s almost perfect for a free flow slasher.

In general, I had a blast with this game!

I rate it 4.2/5.0

Simply one of the best games I've played in my life!

First of all, this is the first Metal Gear game that I have played, so don't expect me to compare it to other Metal Gear games. Second, for me gameplay is more important than story, so this is why I think this game is great: cause it has simply the best stealth/action 3rd person gameplay ever made

Story

In this game, you are the mercenary legend Snake. You wake in hospital after a long come just to find out that your precious motherbase was destroyed. Then, you team up with your buddies Oceletot and Miller and try to rebuild Motherbase and puersue your dream of creating an army without borders. Along the missions you will also find out clues on who tried to kill you and destroy your base. You will meet up with interesting NPCs, like the sniper Quiet and the treacherous Skull Unit.
Now, I saw some people complaining that there is very little story on this game and so on... Well, I have to disagree. The long cutscenes are there, but they are split among the 50 missions, so to see the big picture you have to finish the entire game, instead of doing just the first missions, like most people do. The story is good and makes sense even though it has some exaggerated anime-esque stuff. Just the ending is kinda of dissappointing, like really bad...

Gameplay

Now, the gameplay is what makes this game amazing: you press the button to shoot and Snake shots, you press the button to run and Snake runs immediately. It might sound dumb, but it's really impressive how responsive and precise the controls are in this game. The actions are fast and quick, with no winding up moves, unlike other games. Also, every time you are performing an action, like reloading, you can immediatelly interrupt that action with a defensive one, like running or taking cover. It's a really impressive work on what the devs have done with this game's controls.

Also, bear in mind that even if the game rellies heavely on stealth, you can also try other approaches to completing missions. You can even go Rambo with heavy weapons and heavy armor. I mostly played the sniper approach, taking down enemies from a distance, it kinda of worked for me

Motherbase management

Now this is a game inside a game. To build the new motherbase is kinda of a strategy game by itself, and it's highly addictive! You need to find resourses like oil and metal to build base platforms, then you have to recruit men to work for you, then you can build stuff like new weapons or security items... The possibilities are nearly endless in how to improve and what to build for your motherbase.

I give it 5.0/5.0

Great modern fighter with an oldschool feeling!
This Killer Instinct is basically a revamped and modernized version of the classic games from the 90ies.

Roster

One of the major complaints of people wjo played the originals was that every character kinda played the same. This time, the devs tried to add some depth to the gameplay by making character more unique. For example: Saberwulf is now a rushdown heavy character who haves a bad time dealing with projectiles, while Tusk is now a very slow but high damaging character; and some chars like Kan Ra and Glacius are kind of like Dhalsim from Street Fighter, that is: good at mid range pokes and setups. The most balanced all around char and the most suitable for beginners is Jago, who plays kinda like Ryu with his fireball and shoryuken zoning and also has the standard Killer Instinct combos.

Combo System

The combo system seems to be kinda hard in the begining, but it’s actually pretty straightforward: you beging your combo with some special move, then you follow up with a regular attack (weak, medium or strong) and keep combining normal and special attacks until the combo gauge starts to reach the red line, then you perform a special attack with the heavy button to finish the combo. While taking damage, the opponent might guess which normal attacks you’re using as likers and the press the same buttons to perform a Ccccc-combo breaker. If he makes the wrong guess, he gets locked in the combo.
There is also an autocombo system, which allows you to mash buttons randomly and the CPU will perform the combos for you. But I strongly recommend you to turn off dat schit, cause you will never actually learn the game if you use it and also it will lead you nowhere online.

Visuals

As for the visuals, the game looks pretty good, even in a crappy PC like mine. I liked the new look of characters like Saberwulf and Orchid, but the new look of T.J. Combo and Glacius are kinda off. Fortunately, the game has tons of customization features for you char, one of them being the “classic skin”, suited for oldtimers. Another good thing about the customizations in this game is that they can all be earned through playing the game.

Overall this is a pretty solid and fun fighter, I give it 4.6/5.0

Gayme is basically trash, its like a poormans version of Overwatch.
..
Heroes are completely unbalanced and the battle field is basically a bunch of kids spamming their special abilities like complete ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥. Gayme has no tactics whatsoever, just spam your schit on the opponet and hope to kill someone.
..
You better off playing Overwatch or TeamFortress, believe me!
...
I rate it 1.0/5.0 -- gayme is really bad!

I'm probably gonna get lots of downvotes, but this game is sooo boring!!

I'ts like the worst and more monotuous Fallout game that I have ever played.

- Quests are extremely boring and linear: "go there, kill that" seems to be the formula for most quests.
- NPCs are really re tarded and lack depth, the only one who appealed to me was the dog (really!)
- It totally lacks the faction based opinions and world contruction previous games like Fallout New Vegas had, here in Fallout 4 it's basically "good guys vs. bad guys"
- The RPG system of previous fallout games was simplified to the point of becoming non-existent: you can use every weapon from the start, most dialogue option lead to the same results, your character is voiced and will sound always like a white middle class Murican, which ruins char creation process and roleplay; the story is ripped from Fallout 3... complete washed up crap, I got really angry when I saw all dat schit!

The only good things about this game are the graphics, which look kinda cartoony, but in a good way,and the looting and crafting system: you can basically gather all kinds of trash and waste materials like bottle cans and plastic forks to use them to build weird weapons or settlement defense or beds, the possibilities are endless. I guess I spent most of my gameplay time collecting trash and building stuff rather then doing quests or interacting with NPCs.

Final Veredict: If you want and actual Fallout experience, go buy FALLOUT NEW VEGAS instead.

I give this game a 2.0/5.0

Game is basically a slasher like Metal Gear Rising but with with high doses of LSD nonsense.

Play it only when you are completely drunk or after having some magic mushrooms, cuz dats what game is all about: magic mushrooms. And Katanas. And Dating Simulation. And taking acid. And Slashing Stuff. And anime girls. And whatever non-sense bullcrap the stoned devs could add to the mixture. Whatever...

Hitman is a game that could be described as an “assassin sand box” where you are free to kill the target in your own (sloppy) way.

Story

You play as a nameless man, of little known past, known only by his number: 47. He is a high skilled assassin, who works for the mysterious agency ICA. The agency is hired by politicians and other high calliber figures in the global elite to eliminate people. The contact 47 has with the agency is mediated by Diana Burnwood, who works as 47’s boss and some kind of “mother figure” to him.

Gameplay

Most levels in this game work like this: you are set loose into an open world environment with people doing their jobs and thing. Among those people there your targets, that you have to kill. If you want an easy mode, you can follow the tips and hints given by the game. If you like fo figure things by yourself, then turn off the notifications and try to kill the targets in your own sloppy way. Observing patterns of movement is key: each NPC usually has a routine of places he goes and things he does. If you need his outfit as disguise, you just need to wait for him in that dark alley and then…

Agent 47 follows some kind of “perfect assassination honor code” were you are supposed to try to kill your targets in what is consedered the “perfect way”. So, there are some rules you should try to follow, such as: only kill the targets and no one eles, not being see, destrying evidences and só one. Every time you violate one of these rules, you lose points, which reflects in losing potential unlockable stuff in the end of the mission.

Problems

Agent 47 is a “good guy”.
I just dislike how the game devs tried to make Hitman, Diana and their agency some kind of “good guys doing a dirty job”. I mean, it seems like in every mission you are doing some kind of humanitary job by “killing evil people”. I don’t like this approach, it would be better if they tried something more “neutral”, were Agent 47 works for whoever pays more or something. Anyways, this is kind of minor, because the game has actually very little story whatsoever. One of the major complaints about “Hitman: Absolution” was that it was too much story driven and thous wasn’t a typical Hitman game. So, in Hitman 2016, they try to fix it and go back to the origins and focus more on the gameplay and level design than in story elements.

Mentally exausting.
Also, another thing, and this is very personal to me, is that this game seems to demand a lot of my head and after completing a mission I feel very tired of all that mental work. Each mission felt like and extended chess match, were my brain and senses worked overtime to finally beat the mission. It’s not a game made to “play for fun” or “play for relaxation”, at least not for me…

I Rate it 4.0/5.0

Mortal Kombat X is the latest entry in the MK franchise and boy, what a good game!

I must confess that I stoped playing those games since MK 3 and only now decided to go back to them. Seems like Mortal Kombat 9 got criticized for its cartoonish character models, especially the female ones, so this time in MKX they tried a more realist approach, making characters look more like real people, with men looking not that buff and women looking not that busty. The result is that now the carnage has a real gory feeling, like if you are taking part in some kind of slasher movie, especially whe you perform one of the infamous fatalities and do crazy gory stuff with the opponent's body, like ripping their heart, cutting their head off and other even more macabre stuff.

Single Player

There's a bunch of single player modes, so even if you don't play online you still gonna find the game fun anyways. The story mode in this game is kinda good, I mean, it makes sense and is entertaining enough without being too dumb. Thumbs up to Netherrealm for making a fighter with a decent story mode. The other single player modes are usually variations of the traditional "towers" found in usual Mortal Kombat games, and here you have a huge amout of those towers. The most fun are the so called "living towers" which provide you some kind of challege to increase the fight difficulty, like fighting while the screen is shaking or with lasers blasting both opponents and so on.

Online

The only is kinda dead now, so you will only find random people to fight on weekends and such. Usually, to find an online partner, you have to call up someone on you friend list. That's how most of the online activity happens.

PC port

It seems like when game was released, the netcode was broken and Netherrealm simply stopped caring about the PC version at all. Now all these problems were solved and the game runs fine on PC with all the content included.

Problems

The problems with this game are only two, both gameplay releated:
1- Fireballs and long ranged attacks are too overpowered. You can pick up certain characters and keep basically running away while apamming fireballs and the opponent can do little about it. Unfortunately, this seems to be a recurrent problem in all Netherrealm recent fighters. See Injustice 1 and 2, for exemple.
2- The controls for the special moves are really messed up. Some follow the traditional MK style, like down, up + button, while others follow a more Street Fighter style, with quarter circle + button. I thinks it's time for MK to adopt only one style and get rid of this mess.

Overall, it is a very good and solid fighter

I rate it 4.8/5.0
