imo, an essential borderlands game. The story is just top notch. I was so invested I refused to play the last chapter for about seven months because I didn't want it to end.

I haven't played this since it came out, but it was one of those games my dad got me and my siblings for Christmas and we spent a few hours every night solving the puzzles together. I was the oldest kid at 14 yo so it probably took us longer to finish it than most but I only have good memories. Nice atmosphere, a little bit of sci-fi and creepy imagery that really got child-me freaked out and delighted. I'd recommend to anyone who loves a point and click and also anyone who has kid(s) and wants them to stop playing FPSs for a minute. Worked for my dad.

This game reminded me of art school in the worst way possible. Visually, this is an rpg game that cannot be topped. I'm sure that the developer spent virtually no time writing randomized, nonsensical, pretentious reddit-speak into the dialogue boxes compared to the amount of time spent on the animations, claymation, and artistic direction. So I can appreciate it for the art. But besides that, the music was quirky to the point of "I'm not like other girls" and the game itself had no significant narrative devices whatsoever. I couldn't focus for even half an hour. It means nothing, it does nothing, it's just flashy performance art.

It's sad because I genuinely went in with the intention of liking this game. But gosh it is hard to like when I paid for it and it gave me nothing stimulating at all, and there are games in the rpg world like OFF which are FREE and I replay often, just to relive the experience. Fancy graphics don't make the game, that's all boys.

Uh, I don't know what to tell you, folks. My siblings and I played it together, all on the same computer, because we were so excited. The soundtrack is mindblowing, the voice acting makes me reluctant to go back to playing other games (I'm so incredibly picky. Even AAA games sometimes let me down, here.), the writing is funny and touching as ♥♥♥♥, and hey. Listen. I'm an artist. I won't call myself a master, but this is a visually beautiful game. The color schemes are wildly nostalgic and suspenseful. I'll probably replay it soon and take a bunch of screenshots just to have them.

The only let down, I'd say, is an anticlimactic ending to a game that had such a great buildup. Even then, I'd replay. The first 3/4 are worth the experience.

First of all: my favorite game. I'm basing that decision on the following facts.

Six years behind the graphics of 2018, this game isn't ugly or distracting, and in fact is actually kind of charming and somtimes pretty.

I found myself shouting at my computer or laughing out loud.

Completing bosses took actual strategy and energy, but wasn't based on years of CSGO experience or some "your decisions have consequences!!!!!!!" adventure.

Weapons usually bore me on FPSs and I have no desire to read stats or compare a bunch of guns that look the same. Without going on some wild fantasy fight, the weapons are fun to collect (get a legendary), simple enough for n unexperienced player such as me to understand, and often funny or satisfyingly damaging.

A bad guy I actually want to kill. Not just an evil-looking dark figure who sends anonymous aliens after me, but a fleshed-out, truly gross character with backstory and jiving comments that motivated me to finish the game.

Fabulous dialogue. Fabulous soundtrack.

Characters die and stay dead. Passed the Disney Test.

Excitement! Plot twists! A plot at all! Fast cars! No anime! El Salvador!

Took me about six months to finish it all, I think. Went above and beyond $20. Worth every penny. I would recommend it to anyone.
